Hi all! I’ve only been playing for about a week now, and I’ve run into some questions I can’t seem to find the answers to in the FAQ or forums.

1: I know about searching for lions to gain territory, and have tried that. However it feels like there are a mountain of lv.1 lions with triple digit stats whereas I have mostly singles. I have been playing baoball daily and when I explore I have been using a guide to gain stats. Am I doing something incorrectly? I feel like I followed the instructions in the forum post exactly.

2: I’ve mostly been using my energy to explore, even though I have to run off lionesses. It’s gained me a lot of hoard items but I wonder if there is something else I should be using my energy allotment on?

3: I’ve noticed the majority of people seem to dislike the naturally colored lions, and I myself think they are quite beautiful. Would it be a detriment to continue to use these “potato” lions? I’ve read about the saturation of the giving tree and the economy as a whole so I don’t foresee myself doing very much of that. But what about stud requests and the like?

4: Finally, I’ve been making beetles mostly be exploring and selling rotting meat. Aside from selling lions, is there another way to make beetles?

Thanks in advance for any advice you all have, I know I have a lot of questions.

1. When searching for males in the search tab theres an option where you can limit how many stats the male has, so if you use this Link it'll open search to all kings with 30 and under stats

2. As you're still beginning theres not much you can do with your energy besides breeding your lions and exploring and trying to get levels and such, in the future once you get a better king with desirable traits you'll be able to use the energy to accept stud request your lion might get or grind events that exploring is a big part of

3. A lot of people do like natural colored lions, but it's more desirable when those lions have a lot of BO traits and markings, having a natural colored king would follow the same route but having a mutation and being low gen would greatly make them more desirable to people looking for studs

4. If you send your lions hunting a lot you can sell 100 uses of large food for 1gb/1000sb, you can also try playing Serengeti Shuffle daily and scoring 3500-4400 points and get a chance to win 400sb or items that can sell for 1-2gb. If you're good with art or css you can also try making commission and setting the price to whatever you think is reasonable. The big way players get currency though is through events! These, Link1 and Link2 should take you to a post that explains what you should focus on buying during each event, they're a little out dated but most of the big items you should focus on buying are still the same

1. rolled kings (starter ones) have lower stats than bred kings. you can search by stats as well.

2. exploring is probably the best way to use energy, although i also like to do pvp as much as i can

3. do whatever you like! lots of people like more natural looking lions, like the clan "building better naturals." its better to do what you like and breed lions you enjoy than to worry about how well they will sell.

4. other than selling items and lions, you can get sb from fighting npcs in explore and doing trivia. i suggest doing difficult as it gives you the most sb per question, and you can look up the answers on the wiki if you dont know.

To clarify, a potato is a lion with extremely common genetics and very few markings. They are usually naturally-coloured, but there's a lot of players who enjoy naturals with better genetics! Depending on how you define "natural", you shouldn't have too much trouble getting stud requests necessarily.
