Please please please talk out of RP!! I cannot handle roleplays without OOC chat, I find it too awkward
I tend to enjoy rather realistic roleplays with small hints of fantasy and magic, such as a realistic roleplay with supernatural elements like werewolves, ghosts, things like that.

Now... My favorite kinds of roleplays have romance where there's plenty of sadness and angst, while being backed up with plenty of fluff and comfort.
