Hey! Have you sided with a god (Anubis/Bast/Seth)? All three of them give very useful boosts in battling snakes. Anubis will add 20 damage every once in a while, Bast heals you about 70% of the time, and Seth adds a small amount of damage to all of your attacks. Charge -> grab -> claw till it dies has worked for me. If needed, rest and then charge again. Playing in a lower-level area has also helped a bit. Using this i have about a 90-95% success rate with the snakes. My gods are Anubis on this account and Bast on my other account, though their help is about equal. I picked Seth last year with similar success. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Try exploring in a zone that is way below your level. For example, I'm level 12 and I'm exploring in the level 1-5 zone. Also, I've found that grabbing and just spamming pound is the way to go. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I've had pretty good success with Charge > Rest (if you've taken damage - if not, use Bite until you've taken damage) > Charge > Grab > Kick until dead. Pound also works fine, I just prefer Kick. It makes the enemies more likely to miss if I I remember correctly. As far as which deity to side with, I go with Seth or Bast. Anubis is too much of a wildcard, while the other two are more consistent. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Anubis has a lower chance of doing his attack, so I really don't recommend him. Seth gives you consistent damage with each of your attacks while Bast heals you a bit almost every time you attack. Your lion's stats are also pretty low which will make it harder, especially if the snakes are getting the first move. I'd recommend playing the Baoball minigame every day to gain some more stats in the meantime, and level up some more to get stats from that as well. Can you do a battle and take a couple screenshots of the text log? 0 players like this post! Like? |

From what I'm seeing you're just using Charge > Bite. Try using Grab after you've finished your Charge move until the options Pound, Claw, and Kick appear. Like I mentioned in my first comment I have had pretty good luck with Kick, but some people prefer Pound. They're both pretty decent options, so use whichever you like best. Make sure to Charge and Rest close to the beginning so that you can do a second Charge. It does the most damage, usually, so it's best to use it twice if you can. Sometimes you'll have bad luck and fail your Grab several times, which has happened to me, but don't let it discourage you. You'll win other battles! 0 players like this post! Like? |

It's not your fault, June is a very difficult event compared to a lot of the other ones. Lots of players have trouble with it, and some even stop playing temporarily until an event they do like comes around. August and September are easier in the sense that they're not really battle events unlike May, June, and July. The snakes also break free from me too, but what I like about using Grab > Kick is that I can just keep mashing the third button without having to worry about clicking somewhere else to re-grab them. Strangle sometimes works, but I don't find a lot of success with it, especially since the enemy breaks free if your strangle fails. After your Charge > Rest > Charge, just try pressing the third button (Grab/Kick) until the battle is over - hopefully you'll start to win a few! 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I just use charge > grab > pound, unless it looks like I'm gonna lose after a few pounds, in which case I switch to strangle. Charge and pound both have a decent chance of stunning the enemy so it can't strike you in return. Pound has a small chance of causing the enemy to stumble out of your grapple. Strangle hits for a lot of damage, and strangled enemies can't fight back, but have a higher chance of breaking the grapple, so I don't risk it unless it's already looking like I'm gonna lose in a hit or two. Anubis honestly works perfectly well for me. I have him on my side, and he's only failed to turn out for one battle. Normally he hits at least once if not twice and he hits hard, hard enough he's a little more helpful than Seth even. I suspect your issue is you're losing before he even has a chance to show up- probably because your king has very low stats and is only level five! This is a rough month to have new king, especially a low stat king. I'd advise... 1) Play Serengeti Shuffle. One of the rewards for 3500+ points is a giant tortoise, which you can use to get a chunk of XP. Leveling is the best way to gain stats without spending money on stat food items, and that's a free way to work towards leveling without spending energy. Another prize at that tier is honeycomb, which is probably the best stat food in the game, for some raw boost to your numbers. 2) When you do gorilla quests (especially on hard) choose XP for the bonus reward. Same deal there, XP without energy loss. 3) Don't skip the quests the gods might give you to defeat regular enemies, because right now you'll have an easier time with those and you'll still get some KB for finishing the quests + the XP from fighting them will go towards leveling up too. You should be having a bit of an easier time by the end of the month- and when June rolls around next year you'll be a few kings down the line, so you'll probably have much better stats and hopefully, timing will work out so you have a higher level king, too. Personally I find May to be a really good month for just beating the snot out of everything in explore to put some levels on, so you can prepare! Don't feel bad about losing to the snakes, though. Myself and others with high level, well-statted kings lose to them too, just less frequently. I was winning at like a 50% rate til the gods started helping out... in zone 1 still. They suck. 3 players like this post! Like? |

I recommend exploring in Temperate Savannah as the enemies are gonna be WAY easier to defeat in biomes that are lower than your current level! If you have Anubis as your god he.. honestly doesn’t help much imo xd Either way if you have stat items on hand like Turtle Eggs, Croc Eggs, Honeycombs or anything I recommend feeding them to your king to increase his stats :) — also helps to have a few lucky feet on hand so if your about to lose a battle you can use the feet to automatically win! For the moves, these mostly work for me!: Charge > Bite (ONLY IF ENEMY IS STUNNED, If not stunned immediately Rest!) > Rest > Charge > Grab > Pound > Pound > Pound (keep pounding until enemy is defeated) 0 players like this post!
