Back in May, the site implemented a Lion Age Visual Aid to every lion's page. Many players have argued that the information it gives is redundant, that the bar itself clutters the page, that the energy/resources put into this could have gone to better improvements, etc. etc.. Regardless, it seems the Age Bar is here to stay (without a toggle option).

So, how can we improve it so that it's useful for everyone?

Right now the only additional info the bar provides is that elders can die at any moment. If it's primarily for newbies, like some people claim it is, then give it information newbies will need.

2. Actual Age Tracking

This suggestion post was inspired by someone asking in chat at what age do cubs turn into adols, and I genuinely wanted to say look at the Age Bar before realizing the bar doesn't actually tell you anything lol.
Doesn't have to be tracked in irl days, can also use ROs or in-game months.

3. Heat Tracking

Not having this feature track anything heat-related is a HUGE missed opportunity given that breeding is central to this game. Most players currently rely on an off-website, user created calculator to know when their lionesses are going into heat and how many they have left.



In this example, the heats are calculated assuming that the lioness is bred on the first day of her heat and nothing is used to skip her cooldown. This can be explained by giving the Age Bar a little icon next to the stage name that displays its own rule section.



In this (very rough and not accurate) mock-up, the faded red markers show past heats that the lioness was bred and the bright red mark in the future shows her next heat. It's a nice, at-a-glance visual indicator that lets you know she probably has only one more heat left.

I hope this isn't asking for much, but given that it's going to be on every lion page for the rest of our Lioden lives, I think it should be a little more worthwhile. I'd love to hear feedback and/or other suggestions!
