So after roll-over today, I got a warning saying several of my adolescent lions would grow up by next roll-over, and I didn't have space for them, so I dumped over 1000 SB (from selling 90% of my hoard) in increasing the size of my territory... and it was only after that, that I was told since it's male lions growing up, I have to buy completely separate slots for them. And each slot is 500 SB, and I assume it goes up by 500 for each lion, so I can't buy 3 slots to save the lions I wanted to keep for when my king retires. And now I'm stuck on what to do.

Is there any way to somehow... pause the lions running away? I know I've seen people mentioning freezing lions? I really do not want these lions to run off since I got them from other people and was working on their stats, but I'm out of ways to raise SB right now. And I already chased away almost all the cubs I bred thinking that would give me more room.

Sadly theres not really a way to prevent a male lion from running away unless buying a new slot.

Freezing a lion requires you to create an alt/side account. Once rolled over then you can transfer the male lion(s) you want to freeze, essentially keeping it from aging up. But in this case it wouldn’t be helpful as you’d still need to purchase a male slot.

If the male lion does run away though, you can always pay 200sb to get them back AFTER purchasing the male slot. You get 7 irl days (I believe) to reclaim them.

Also a tip for the future! For territory it’s much cheaper to attack other lions for it. Search for a male two levels lower than your king and with significantly less stats. Then you can attack them for territory and if won, you gain a slot.

Thank you for explaining. I wish the tutorial had mentioned that anywhere or it was made more obvious that male lions were growing and you need to buy not TERRITORY SLOTS, but MALE SLOTS, because now I just feel like an entire week's worth of work is down the drain lol...

No problem! And it’s a mistake so don’t feel too bad. I believe you’ll be able to make up that weeks worth in no time.

Also, to add to the previous answer, male slots cost GB . Not sure if the very first increase you buy is with sb, as it's been years since I bought that, but the next one is 4 , then 8 , and with that you only have 4 male slots.
It's expensive to keep submales :')

Good luck on getting back the sb tho!! I hunt like nonstop, to then sell the food for 1gb/1000sb per 100 uses. It's a quick method of getting some money for me(also, only sell the big/multiple use carcasses, people like those more lol)
