Wacking the snake

What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible.
When I play whack a snake I have to click the snake several times in order for it to go away clicking the monkey works first try but because I take so much time trying to click the snake the monkey eats my lives it’s impossible to get over 400 points because of this. Am I playing wrong or something? Idk
