UPDATE: 🌈 Abbey ⚡🦁 (#1) @[229613] not really, I read the suggestion last night but it's really not feasible with how connected everything is to the owner 2024-06-29 00:43:09 This is a remake of my prvious suggestion, now marked for deletion as it has the possibility of overriding this one. TLDR: Hide the owner names of specific lions. Allows lions to be searched for, but owners are hidden. With the growing fanbase of the games comes the challenge of dealing with entitlement and begging. After last year's harassment over changing a Raffle Lioness's base, I suggest being able to hide a player's name when searching for "locked lions". Anyone can easily search up lions that belong to other users and then message them about them. But what if these messages turn into begging or harassing? Every fanbase sadly has their entitled players, but this may help protect players such as raffle lioness winners or players who own lions with specific markings or mutations. This can even be used to hide private studs from being sent requests by players who don't realise that the stud is private. Of course, this may be confusing if the private stud is still open to friends only. The main point of this idea is to help protect players, as sad as it is that we need this to be suggested in the first place. This can be a toggle in the lion's information and details. Like when you toggle if a lion is secure or has a role. A locked lion will simply hide the owner's name or profile from the search, like how if you were to view a branch but then click on the owner to find that they're banned. Perhaps it could be like a reverse breeding, where cubs born from a reverse breeding are hidden within the void, only available to be viewed but has no link to the owner. Please tell me why you don't support or if there can be any better ideas proposed Update: When viewing a lion, perhaps they take a layout such as that seen on frozen lions? A frozen lion has not heritage or viewable cubs. As for the "belongs to X's pride", that can be changed to "Belongs to -'s pride" and gives you a message similar to when you try to view a banned player. Update 2: When viewing a lion through a stud request, it will show the lion as normal. This counts as consent from the owner to allow their lion to be viewed as part of their pride. If you link a hidden lion in chat, it will still appear as hidden form your ride, even if you are the owner. Butbifbyou are the owner, you'd be able to view them as normal |

I think this is an amazing idea! I would hate to get spammed if I get a jaglion. And as sad as it is, we do have beggars in this game, sometimes people don't want to block lots of people, I think this would be a great addition to the game! 100% support 1 player likes this post! Oh definitely. Like for RL winners, their messages get turned off automatically. But that doesn't happen with people for hybrids. Especially, if it's a newer ID that gets a jag first :( No one deserves to be harassed because of their RNG luck 2 players like this post! Like? |

I think this is def a better idea than the first one, but one question: would you be able to see the lion in their pride from their profile, or would it be hidden there too? 0 players like this post! Like? |

harassment and begging should be reported. mods handle these cases very well in my experience. there's no need to hide lions or players from search functions. that kind of defeats the point of the search function in the first place and hinders the way that players can interact with the game and the community. 0 players like this post! 1) you'd still be able to view in their profile like you can cubs that are in the void 2) While yes mods handle this well, it doesn't stop off-site harassment. Many players have their discords or toyhouse or another site linked to their account, they can easily be reached on there and with places like discord or reddit, the mods are very much unhelpful. This suggestion wouldn't be hiding the lions themselves, it would be the players hidden as owners of certain lions 0 players like this post! Like? wouldnt that kinda be useless then? ie: what if that lion has cubs that are in the pride it belongs to, or heritage related to the pride it belongs to. wouldnt you just be able to then find the player anyways? unless they have every single lion in their pride toggled? and while true, thats avoidable by not having your off site socials on public display internet safety 101 and stuff 1 player likes this post! It can be but if aomeone is that desperate to message someone about their lion, then something is going on. Mainly people will target lions they can see in search immediately, but it can be accidentally revealed through another lion. It would just make it a longer process to find the owner than just searching for them 0 players like this post! Like? |
