There's nothing you can really do except boost your overall mutation chances with cotton root barks, lion meats, GMO cows, and low fertility. Lionesses always have a chance to randomly produce a mutated cub like a first generation hybrid, but these items bump it. But again, they only boost the chance of getting a mutation at all, not the rarity of the mutation (though cotton root barks explicitly bump lethal chances a little). This mostly applies to non-hybrid mothers, though there's always a chance a hybrid can randomly give birth to another first gen, lol.

If you have a hybrid mother and are trying to get her to pass her mutation, there's nothing you can do but give her a grain of paradise or a buffalo scrotum to guarantee more cubs for the 5% chance to roll, or 10% if she's a first generation only. Mutation items and lion scrotums will not help or just can't be used on her at all.
