Make Jaglion Boosts Toggleable

I've almost wasted boosts on absentmindedly accepting breeding requests and continuing with my own breeding projects. I know it's like a an almost 0% chance of actually getting lucky with the boost but I feel like once completing the quest it's becoming a monkey on my shoulder

Thanks to Mad Hyena for letting me know that we can't pause the boost to continue with breeding projects

Edit: Strikethough - thanks to Sakasu and especially Terrinthia, for letting me know about the stud requests

For what it's worth, stud requests will not use your boosts. Only on your own lionesses in your own pride bred to your own king. The breeding project part is understandable, though.
I didn't run into that issue personally because I just had all ncls/chaseds ready to use all 20 boosts in one go, but I can see how it's annoying it you have other lionesses in heat you wanna use ur king for but not use boosts.
If you have a side account available you could always transfer your project gals there and stud rq or reverse breed them yourself from your main acc and it won't use up your jaglion boosts.

edited to fix typo

Thanks for the info Sakasu, but I don't have my side available, and I'm a casual player and it was just a bit of complication and knottiness I wasn't expecting.

I didn't really read into how it was all going to go down with the "Invasion of Spots" adventure, I kind of didn't want to spoil it for myself by using the wiki or poking around on the news/forums/chat and that's my own look out of course.

But now I've got dying in heat project lions and if I breed them I could end up with like a 243rd gen inbred jaglion on my hands, and you know, we're kinda snotty and petty about those kind of things on here ;)

Not supporting just because I don't see this as a necessary change to make just for one quest. It might also set the precedent for toggling other breeding boosts which is just not needed.

I think you could argue it is needed if people want to continue to play the game as a breeding, rng game and not miss out on events, especially if this sort of thing is going to be the norm and if there are deadlines involved. I believe it's like the 1st of August for the jaglion quest line, which isn't too much time especially if you're more of a casual player.

No support personally. I get it can be annoying for your specific project, but it also is helping lots of other people with their breeding projects.

Also I get not wanting to spoil things for yourself... but reading the news and dev updates is a good way to not end up with confusion or issues afterward, as a casual player or not. In my opinion, you can still find out the info you need without spoiling things.

The Invasion of Spots news post introduced the adventure and jaglions. It mentioned mechanics like how breeding jaglions works and the boosts information. It also mentioned requirements to start the adventure without going into quest info. That news post specified that the 20 boosts would be rewarded after completion of the adventure to be used on the next successful breedings.

I understand all that but, why not make it toggleable?

I feel a bit held hostage, like I can't continue playing Lioden the way I want because of this out of the blue event, and the only alternative is to miss out or let my project lions die.

Just a toggle would have solved this issue for everyone

Are you saving the boosts for specific lions?

Most people tend to use em on NCLs since if they work it nets you a g2 first gen which is worth substantially more than longer gen ones as you know, so there haven't been too many people holding onto them aside from traditional studdings.

Genuine question, just curious

Good morning

Well, I should probably just bite the bullet and do as you suggest, I thought it would be nice to be fancy and wait until I have some lovely BO G1's in my den before I use my boosts.

But the odds aren't that great and if it holds up my breeding projects which I've spent two years solidly working towards, I think you've convinced me to just suck it up.

I'd still like this breeding boost toggleable though … I'm not Alright Jack!
