ROLEPLAY PROMPT: You follow the delicious aroma of a fresh kill, leaping over small streams and weaving your way through knots of vines and vegetation. As you peer through a particularly large clump of greenery, you notice a large lioness with her muzzle lowered, tearing into a carcass of some sort. She glances up at you and beckons for you to come closer. "Hello," she says in a cheerful voice. "I'm Amora. Would you like to join my pride?" You realise that she hold no ill intentions, so you crawl closer. As you near, the first thing that you notice about her is her giant stature, easily surpassing that of most adult male lions. The second, her impressive primal fangs. You consider what she has asked, weighing the pros and cons of her request. You stare deeper into her playful pink eyes, and a sense of content fills you. She grins at you. "I'll be waiting near the waterfall for the next week. Gather any lions you think might wish to join, and we can discuss business then. Oh, and you can keep the zebra." With a blink of an eye, she bounds off, leaving you with the carcass. Oh! It was a zebra! You chuckle to yourself, and submit to the growls of your stomach... INFORMATION AND RULES Hey y'all, this is my first group RP thingo ever. I'm kind of new to this game so please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong. So basically, this is a RELATIVELY realistic lion pride. By this I mean male lions can serve as hunters and brood mothers, females can be on patrol and can lead the pride, and will probably do things that lions don't normally do because I know absolutely nothing about lions. Also, this pride derives from IceShard's pride (https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429518962). 1. Please be respectful to everyone. That means no shaming anyone/anyone's OC for being colored, white, LGBT+, disabled, neurodiverse, or anything else I might have missed. 2. This is ONLY on Lioden. I don't have/want/need Discord. 3. Please don't plan out a structure for the RP. However, if you want lion/lioness to be mated with another, please check with that person first. 4. Mutations are allowed, just not Jaglions/Leopons/Tigons. 5. Please no magical powers. That's all I can really think of now. I'm going to create an OOC and a place to post a character sheet, and in one week we can start. If I've missed anything please let me know! She bowed back, bending her front knee and lowering her head in a well-intentioned jest. "Yes, it's incredible! I had forgotten what it was like to be around others!" She took in a deep breath, then stopped. Ew. What was that smell? Apologising, she ran outside to catch some fresh air. The roar of the waterfall had returned, as well as the frigid spray, but at least the rancid odor was gone. Perhaps some meat had gone bad? Amora was surprised to see that the moon was well risen. She hadn't realised it was so late. She re-entered the cave, holding her breath, and settled on a small nest-like structure. She let out a rumbling yawn, and announced to her small pride, "It's getting rather late - the moon is well risen. If you'd like, you can join me here, or you can sleep by yourself. It's your choice." She rested her head on her paws and closed her eyes, awaiting the pitter-patter of paws to surround her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Amora nodded. "Yeah, just tired. It's been a long day - before you lot got here I was out of my mind with worry. Hafsa had finished up grooming her mane not too long ago. She decided she was gonna lay where she was until she got to know these lions a bit more. With her mind made up she curled up into the smallest ball possible and tucked her head in her paws. She quickly fell into deep sleep. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Flashes of dreams skittered through Amora's mind... Lumi's beautiful smile... Her tiny paws... Amora's pain during Lumi's birth... Amora's love for her... Her dreams slowly turned from sweet to sour, as they did every night. Lumi's blood-covered muzzle... Her blood-covered, lifeless body... Amora's grief that took days to strike... Ally let out a satisfied hum, eventually getting to sleep himself. How his bones ached, his lungs burned. He wished to be young again, more than he thought was possible for any other lion. Cassandra had fallen asleep in her designated corner, light snores coming from her every now and again. She was still, and was cold to the touch. Maybe she wasn’t feeling well? She’d usually be up longer, making snarky comments or being angry at everyone and everything to hide her hurt. *The moon rose high into the sky, pulling a smattering of stars into the deep blue of the night. The wind was soft and low, and several clouds rolled in. When the sun awoke, pushing the moon below the horizon, the clouds refused to leave, tainting the sky an unmistakable grey. It was going to rain.* Amora awoke to the delicious scent of cool water falling onto hot earth. She yawned, and turned onto her side. She glanced around the cave, noting where everyone was - Cassandra curled up in the back of the cave, Cypress and Hafsa lying several feet away from each other, and Ally, who had fallen asleep about half a meter away from her. She got up and paced out of the cave, ensuring that she didn't wake anyone. Amora nimbly leapt down the rocky path, arriving at the lake at the bottom of the waterfall. Gathering her courage, she plunged into the frigid water, washing away the dirt that she had gathered over the past few days. She stayed that way for a while, occasionally diving to the bottom to glare at the miniscule fish, then pulled herself out of the lake and onto a dry rock. There she lay, the rain falling softly onto the ground around her, yet the hot sun drying her within mere minutes. She got up, bored, and darted from tree to tree, seeing how quickly she could get through the tangled undergrowth. After a while she grew hungry, so decided to return to the cave. She wasn't sure if anyone was awake by now, so she lay by the entrance, keeping a look out for any new lions who were simply late with arrival. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hafsa awoke a bit after Amora had left and stretched quietly. She wasn’t quite ready to start the day ahead of her so she lays on her side and listens to all of her surroundings. She loved the way the water sounded and how the cave was beginning to feel like a home to her. She continued to lay there for a bit, stretched out with an ear to ear smile before getting up and softly padding out of the cave. Meeting Amora on her way out, with quiet whispers she expressed she was going down to the bottom. She proceeded down and lay under a large tree, enjoying to sounds of rain falling and the sound of the waterfall. 0 players like this post! Like? |
