Cannot complete Apedemak quest, bugged quest progress.

Please provide us with step by step explanation how this bug happened so we can attempt to replicate it. If it's complex, please include screenshots where possible:
Was taking a Apedemak quest. I had a quest to lose 50 karma, which as soon as I took it showed that I had already lost 4 despite not having done anything. I then used three vulture eggs (eat eggs). Checked the quest page and found no progress was made (still at -4). Then ate another 3 vulture eggs, same thing happened, no progress. Decided to reset for another quest and got kill 6 lions quest which showed was already at -120 (which would be the same karma I would have gotten from vulture eggs). I cannot complete the quest.

Out of curiosity, I killed three cubs which resulted in -135 on the quest (second image).

Reset quest, took another quest and got PvP quest and right of the bat had a current progress of three (same amount of cubs killed so past current progress must be rolling over). Third image

Forth image, it let me complete the taste dispite making no progress.
