Let me start of by saying, this is not my original idea for this - I had a very long winded idea but decided I could better use the current systems in place for a lion sink. I might write a brief snippet at the end about my original plan. -I have seen Vixxie's karma quest idea which I think is a great idea if people do not like this one. My Idea: A dedicated "mini event shop" for sending lions away. a) Resets monthly b) Progress bars like standard events c) Bonuses based on which feature is used to send lions away Features used to send lions away include: Nature Reserving (positive karma), Killing (negative karma), Unknown third Neutral way - I don't think chase is a good way because it sends them to the chase pool. Now instead of doing this through your den, it could instead be done through the mini event page. Much like the celestial portal set up, there could be 3 drop down lists for sending lions away. (which is why I think chase is unnecessary in this situation, as it could just simply be a celestial portal version that doesn't give +/- karma). Whichever feature you use will give you the same initial pool of rewards, +/- karma too if you chose one of those, and any of the options could contribute to the overall progress bar. Once the progress bar has been completed, it unlocks a shop that all 3 karma types can use. Inside the shop could have standard rewards of decor. While I am also imagining items to help your current pride - food, nesting materials, toys, etc. Rewards for sending lions away: Guaranteed: Karma based on option chosen + 1-3 mini event currency Random: 1. 1% impression (I think the celestial portal should still be a July specific bonus, where this mini event may not be enabled that month) 2. 10% energy 3. EXP equal to (LVL x 10) So essentially, halve the July specific portal rewards. I don't believe there should be a cap to this, personally, but if necessary, there could potentially be a cap - maybe something higher like 100 lions per day. Additional Bonuses can be applied to which feature you used to send your lions away, such as: Discounts toward certain items within the shop. Killing = cheaper food Reserving = cheaper nesting materials "chasing" = cheaper toys Just as examples. Editing: Something I didn't think about is mutations, I kinda think there should be bonus rewards for sending away mutated lions! AMPs (standard, non combo) should give a small bonus Primals (maybe categorized by Primal (basic) | Primal (Felis/Smilus) | Primal (Ferus) and each one rewarding more than the previous) Pies (all but B&W pies reward a decent bonus, B&W mod pies reward more) Hybrids & Lethals should be excluded imo Visible Mutations (everything except Dwarf and Dorsals should reward a small amount, Dwarf and Dorsal should reward a greater amount) etc Hope it makes sense! I feel that the rewards should reflect what you may be able to sell them for on the trading post, to make it worth to send them away rather than selling unless they are really special. I think this can help the bloat of muts on TC. Ofc people can still sell their muts, they could be low gen, high stats, etc desirable or w/e, but yknow the portals could be useful for the muts that will just otherwise sit forever and never sell or never breed etc) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ snippet of original idea: 3-5 factions to choose from each month sending lions away contributed towards your factions "count" highest "count" at the end of the first week of the month wins rewards: some kind of currency (event or sb) for each lion sent away, shop discounts - general discounts in monkey business - bulk buy discounts in oasis (such as buy 5x item, get 1 free) (3-5 factions would be based on whether or not linked accounts were forced to be the same faction, in which case only 3 factions are necessary. 5 factions would be more balanced IMO if people were allowed to pick 1 for each account, funneling lions to one in hopes of boosting that faction the most, but using the 2nd as a backup) And yes, this is loosely based on FlightRising's Exalt feature. This could help set a "default minimum value" to lions in the trade center. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for reading, I hope you can tell me why you support or don't support this idea! |
