Now I know these have been suggested before but I wanted to share a couple of my own concepts and ideas for the Snow Lion.

I didn’t feel like drawing out sketches for their forms so here’s a list of some physical traits-
1. Broader eyebrow bone
2. Fluffier fur
3. Really long tail (no tuft)
4. Shorter muzzle
5. Smaller in size
6. Bigger paws
7. Males still have a mane

I did however draw a messy example of a possible base and rosette design though

I think a good name would be Mountain Ghost, (honestly wanna call it “Ghost of the Mountain” but that’s too many words)
I wanted to incorporate the warmer colors that most people forget when thinking about a snow leopards fur, it also helps tie in with a lions natural colors. Little details like the white eyebrows, white dots/backs of ears, and small dark gradient from the tip of the nose are important.
I feel like it could be spiced up a bit, but as simple as it is I think it still works well.

Corresponding skin color would be bunting

Now I sorta struggled here, snow leopard rosettes are surprisingly difficult to replicate (at least for me lol)
I couldn’t think of a good name so suggestions are appreciated!
Little details like the black on back of ears, little dots under the eyes and above the nostrils, and marks on either side of the muzzle are important.
The rosettes are slightly shaded, similar to the shaded rosette marking.


For poses I specifically thought an adolescent or cub holding their tail in their mouth would be cute!

How I would incorporate them into lioden-
Like others I was thinking that there could be an event during December. It could be similar to other hybrid hype events, specifically the jags. A zoo/illegal animal trade or something idk. On the contrary It could take a less realistic, more magical route instead.

Reasons I’ve seen ppl no support the snow leopard/lion hybrid-

Snow Leopards don’t live in africa - neither do jaguars
It’s not realistic - I literally just battled 10 space dragons
A lion and Snow leopard can’t hybridize - I don’t know if that’s been proven or not but even if it is true… 10 space dragons
We already have a leopard hybrid! - snow leopards differ from leopards quite a bit, definitely more than a jag does in my opinion, and yes they may be called “leopards” but they’re actually more closely related to tigers
It’s too hot of a climate - overgrown fur mutie seems to do well
(Although a lethal hybrid would be interesting)
