why does imgur not work? is it a glitch? i started using it super recently as a dump for all the images i need for lioden specifically and had no trouble with it at all. but if it's art i link it from my blogs instead, like my cohost and tumblr

make sure you right click (desktop) or long press (mobile) on the image and 'copy image link' or 'copy image location', instead of using the button imgur offers you. you need a link that ends in .png, .jpg, whatever image format you uploaded. you can also just use the imgur button and add the file extension yourself when typing up the html

you can also add a width modifier to make sure your images actually fit in wherever you're trying to post them. this particular one doesn't mess up the image ratio:

< img src="image.png" width="x%" >

(no spaces)

this percentage is the width of the box it is displayed in and has nothing to do with the size of the image you uploaded. if your image is huge it'll be scaled down and if your image is tiny it'll be scaled up.

i'm not going to do it because it will make this topic a nightmare to navigate, but if your image is large and you don't do this it will just pop out of the forum, sometimes comically so and will require a horizontal scroll bar

if you want something user friendly i'd say just make a tumblr blog, set it to password protected if you don't want anybody stumbling upon it at all, and upload your pictures to it to link from (the password protect is for the actual blog address and doesn't affect the visibility of your images if you want to share them via link)

Sorry, what I meant was I got a Link from the other website and Imgur, added .png, did it withought .png and it still didn’t show up, (I also removed the spaces)

With Imgur, I found it easier on desktop to use the old design. There was a button at the bottom right of the screen for me to use the old design, then click on the image you want the link for and choose the direct link that already has the .png at the end to copy.

This is what the screen looked like for me, and I just chose the second link instead of the first one.
