I'm sure they're working on which events it should be apart of. It appears that decisions like this takes a while to fully implement is my guess. I've also been playing Lioden since 2014 or 2015 (depends which account you check). I agree that events become stale over time, but at least they thought about this idea to put be put more into the events. I'm sure they're trying to balance it properly. I do hope this comes out in the future!

I'm not pressuring or anything, I just want to kind of... know - but I'm a huge advocate for developer transparency and roadmaps over radio silence which we have had with this so far. I get they're busy, but we've been promised things before that have slipped through the cracks and I just don't want this to be one of them! ^^

That's a fair statement. Sometimes I wish we got more insight into what's happening. Like for example, Wolf Quest developers do a great job at showing all their ideas. I think with Lioden it could be hard to get a general consensus outside of polls. I did like the big discussion they had for their most recent Raffle Lioness post though! I hope that maybe this post you made will remind them of the love for this minigame and see where it takes us.

I was pondering how many of the thoughts and dev/admin responses that are shared in Chat (!) around big news updates and new breeding item implementation get lost and not included in official news posts, so I mentioned this situation regarding a warning/hint that studs might not rotate this year if the community votes to bring all bases back and how so much information about the Treasure Hunting brainstorming was lost in my post here in the ~Special Edition! News~ for Savage Studs feedback including responses implementations and item alterations following user feedback.
It seemed appropriate, though a thread for discussion of the topic other than yours has yet to be created so I might have technically been a little off topic. We can't subscribe or watch for official updates as there's nothing to subscribe to. We don't even know if it's still being discussed or even mentioning it has been tabled for sometime in the distant future. Except, perhaps, News.

My main concern is the knowledge, ideas, and hints or teasers that are shared and then lost.
Most of the item fixes (like the description for Ochre Powder, which was updated very quickly to avoid confusion) gets tagged/noted in the next news post, but the last information we got was 'We'll see what we can do! ' in the next weeks' poll acknowledgement response.

I saw this thread the other day but I couldn't share any info, links, or knowledge because all I remember was possibilities being discussed or shared in Chat while Abbey was testing the waters during a brainstorming session. (I'm calling it that, though it was simply excited chatter in chat, which is I suppose where it belongs- but when it's the devs/admins/community manager/etc. sharing ideas and thoughts, shouldn't those ideas and thoughts be shared and labeled with the rest of the community? Even if 'we're not ready to discuss this yet, but there were some thoughts/ideas shared including this and this, we'll let you know when we have time to revisit these ideas but right not we feel it's important to focus on x and x for the future of the game- we've all got the same time etc.'- Not relying on player's memories, which creates rumors and could be detrimental to site satisfaction and player happiness...)
Some things included trying to figure out which month would be best (Some suggestions were for adding it to the 'slower' months, and for example 'What about Sept?' was met with 'August would be better, it's slow' & 'adding it to Sept would be too much ochre in one month!', among a plethora of other ideas bounced around, for example), how long (a week was suggested, as a month would be too long, but who knows if they're even trying different skins for it or if that was just wishful pondering and User Suggestion boards).
At this point I don't even remember when that was, as it all happened in Chat either during the week of the poll, right after the item's release, or... some ... other time around there.
It was all think tank style, idea sharing, so nothing official to be given a timeline and updated upon, but you're totally right in that we don't even know if it's still being discussed behind the scenes or has been perhaps pushed off the discussion table in favor of still working on adding Phantom Rosette to other mutation files, other art management things and event ideas, and all the other monthly updates that are required.
The item exists in the game, it works, players are still selling buying and using but unable to plan for a renewal or even know if it might be (fear talking here) going extinct/never offered again (Limited Time are usually announced in advance though, so hopefully not!) No fear mongering from me just... wondering what's going on.
I wouldn't be too concerned except as time passes we're even losing evidence that it ever existed.
Have you noticed that there's no Wiki on Treasure Hunting even linked to the January event right now? The Breeding Item page also has not been updated since it was taken down around that time.
However, there's nothing official and nothing new.

It 'feels' like a quiet, slow, 'maybe they'll forget' ... fade out, pushed to the side for bigger projects or just not mentioned again.

There was a lot of feedback/backlash against having the item at all in some news posts, but it exists in game & we're sort of left... hanging.

Even if the response is that they're still deciding, have reconsidered and don't think it will return, have decided not to act until after it's return next January 2025 (which also isn't technically guaranteed?!) or nothing is being done on the mechanism front for now as other things are moved forward... some official news would be nice.





Another edit: I just wanted to mention that during the chat it was even suggested to come back in March, though some felt that might be too soon & would need to see the effect of the item on the game first (think that was even said during the Ochre Powder release news!) but the only reason we know it hasn't been added in March, April, May, June, or July- nor the first weeks of August 2024- is that it hasn't happened yet. Those months were discussed but, was it decided against or merely ... pushed to the side after the chaos that delayed Jaglion release and caused other projects to be delayed?
I just don't want another situation where it's quietly unmentioned for years as we're left in the dark even when other things are kept moving.
Like the recode, like male poses (Sorry to mention), or anything else.

Even if the idea is "You won't know when it's coming, so stay active! " / "it could happen any time (but within the next year)" (also that's giving away nothing since January is in 5 months already xD) just let us know there's a chance. <3
