Community UpdateAside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!
Official Lioden RaffleLINK - This is our official community update raffle. Everyone gets a chance to win a rare prize, plus something extra for any runner ups. These raffles have a very minimal ticket price, and there is a limit of 1 ticket per account to make it fair!  Good luck!This raffle will automatically end on 2024-08-23 00:00:00.
Poll: Raffle Lioness SystemFollowing the feedback from the Discussion: Raffle Lionesses topic, we have created a poll via Google Forms. This poll aims to receive further feedback from the community with how you all feel the raffle lioness system would best be adjusted or improved. This poll will remain open for 2 weeks (from 16th August to 30th August). Once the poll is closed, we will be reviewing all answers provided and seeing how best to move forward with this system. Within the poll, you will be asked to rate each available option between 1 (Not At All Preferred) to 10 (Extremely Preferred). * If you strongly dislike an option and would not want to see it implemented, you would select 1. * If you are neutral about whether an option is implemented or not, you would select 5. * If you really like an option and would want to see it implemented, you would select 10. Minor Addition* Lionesses that have been chased off by other players will have a star indicating they are a chased lioness when in the claiming screen. This star is visible at the top of the claiming UI. Bug Fixes* Fixed a typo in Korobela's crafting description to properly display the required components. * Lionesses that are too old to breed will no longer show up on the list to be bred to Savage Studs. * The banner displaying breeding items used in a breeding should now properly clear out previous breeding data for CRBed lionesses and reverse bred lionesses. * Using breeding items on a lioness, then breeding her to a Savage Stud will now display the items used within the banner stating she has been bred. To be clear, the items still applied during the breeding, but were visually missing from the banner prior to the fix.

My thoughts in regards to the RL poll: 1. Seems pretty reasonable, in my opinion. I'd give the lucky winner a two week timeframe to accept the raffle lioness. This would prevent raffle lionesses from going extinct on suspended/inactive accounts after winning an RL. 2. I don't really see the point of this? I don't check my emails often on my home account (I just hopped on to check how many new emails I had from random websites and it totalled to almost 2k messages  ), and presumably many others would be the same. There would be little, if no impact in changing the extinct RL situation.3. Absolutely no support on this idea. Newbies who may be active on Lioden may be deterred from purchasing a raffle lioness ticket if the price were too high. This may mean that fewer people will buy RL tickets in the future, good for those who can afford them, but then it means that new people would have a lesser opportunity to have a chance to win such a rare lioness. 4. NO. This is another suggestion that I vehemently disagree with. Raffle lionesses are supposed to be rare, so what is the point if you can find one in explore? I've stated this in the Raffle Lioness Discussion newspost, but if several people were to own the same RL, this means that they'll fight to sell rare traits/clones in order to gain a profit, and the price would plummet significantly. Furthermore, assuming that LD implements suggestion No. 1, this idea (and the one below) would be made redundant 5. Whilst I disagree with this suggestion less than the one above, presuming LD implements idea No. 1, this idea would be pointless, since RLs would have a significantly less chance to be stuck on inactive acounts. 6. I'm rather neutral on this. Winning an NRLC studding slot would be of less value than winning the actual lioness, since there is no guarantee rare traits will pass. If rare traits DO pass, then, potentially rare slots could saturate the market more quickly than with only one RL. 7. I actually quite like this idea. It gives a special flair to Lioden, where veterans could have a chance to impress another lioness. However, I'd only support this if the actual lioness was more special than the average RL. 8. I also like this suggestion. Newbies who enter these raffles would have limited resources to breed these beauties (they aren't cheap to breed either!), so many heats may be wasted (esp. if they don't know they can sell heats for a fortune), so by providing a breeding package (in my mind, it'd include 1 buffy/GoP, 1 crunchy worm, 1 nesting material and 1 IBF), it could help newbies in figuring their way around these things. Furthermore, the guide is a good idea and I hope it includes tips as to gaining currency/profits off the RL, so clones/traits could be spread slowly but surely, as well as a section on being aware of scammers who hope to prey on newbies' lack of LD knowledge and secure the RL or the heat for a very, very low price. 1 player likes this post! Out of all the options I strongly dislike option 8.) This feels too much like trying to tell players how to play lioden. I'll add that I do understand why people feel angry or dishearted if someone hoards traits or changes something on RL (base, markings etc.) But on the other hand, it is theirs to do as they wish. I also have to add my thanks to the lioden staff taking time to listen and mull over this particular dilemma. 2 players like this post! Like? |

Regarding the poll, we are voting on each option as only itself, correct? So we don't need to worry about sub-ranking each option against each other? i.e. only ranking your absolute favorite pick as a 10/10, then second pick as 9/10 etc. to avoid ties? We should just focus on 1-10 least desired-most desired for implementation of each option in isolation? I think this is the case but i'd hate to misunderstand & cause a crash in one's ranking just because i'd sort of prefer another since we can't edit our forms after submission. 2 players like this post!
