Someone else made a post about this, but I feel compelled to post here too. So I have a ferus king and he has close to 40 cubs now. Not a single one has a mutation except ONE, which is primal fangs. Maybe I have horrible luck, but this feel ridiculous. I've had people stud to me with ferus mothers, buffalo scrotums, CRB, lion meat, and even combinations of the above. I understand that primals are rare and should be kept rare, but I am shocked. When I compare the offspring my king has produced with that of his predecessor, the difference is GLARING. At this point, my king has a 2.5% rate of producing a cub with SOME kind of mutation. His father had 664 cubs, and here are all the numbers of special cubs he's sired: 47x Primal 43x Primal Ferus 39x AMP 38x Primal Fangs 9x Bobbed tail 9x Achromia 9x Foldie 5x Primal Felis 4x Clawless 4x Polycaudal 2x Primal Smilus 2x Tailless 2x Leopon 2x Dwarfs 2x Melenisum 2x Overgrown Tongue 1x Double uterus 1x Blind 1x Deaf So there are about 222 cubs here at least that have a mutation, which means I'm getting a rate of 2.5% while my king's father had a 33.4% chance of passing a mutation. That is very roughly more than ten times better odds. What is happening? ![]() |

I think you're misunderstanding how mutations and items work. Lion meats and CRBs will never help you produce a primal and actively hurt primal odds when used. Random mutation items like these do not boost the odds of *inheriting* a mutation, and primals *are not* random mutations. Primals can *only* be inherited, mostly from the father, but also ferus females, or otherwise guaranteed with mukombero or a mutation on demand application. Random mutation items roll before primals and if triggered, will actually actively prevent that cub from being a primal. The non-primal variant muties sired by your king's father have nothing to do with him also. That's all the female and any breeding items used on her, her fertility, and random chance. The king had nothing to do with any mutations on your list except the primals and primal fangs. You may be unlucky, but I also don't think we know the exact rate of primals passing. 2.5% doesn't sound out of the realm of possibility, however. I also want to say that that king is old and has had a lot of cubs—cubs that I can almost guarantee as a player of 4 years were majority undesirable and killed, therefore not appearing in the sired cubs list. We're not getting a full and genuine look at every cub that was ever born. It's going to be skewed. Sorry about all the editing I just woke up LOL ![]() Edited on 17/08/24 @ 05:43:35 by 🤎 leon (#208511) |

Coming back to this. I’ve had a couple primal kings in the past and I can say with certainty that something has changed. My current primal king has sired six primal variant cubs and barely any other mutations (and he’s had a TON of cubs). Compare this to my past primal kings, who each had a decent number of primal cubs ![]() |

My king still produces plenty of Primals, and I have my doubts that the admins would adjust anything without mentioning it. Those breeding items not increasing the odds and duds being removed from the game aside (as those factors were addressed above) I think that it's just a bit of poor RNG. ![]() Edited on 17/11/24 @ 14:49:34 by TheClassCalico (#88888) |
