A lot of people are annoyed about the chase pool being mostly re-chased basic NCLs (typically from CRB farming, impression farming, mass breeding with jag boosts, etc - which are all viable ways to play the game) and lots of people are suggesting potentially game-breaking options such as energy-free killing/reserving, or magically removing NCLs from the chase pool without laying out clearly defined set criteria for the removal (for example, would a NCL base rosette be removed? What about a comb-based NCL marked lion? Potentially special groupies?).

My suggestion is much simpler - make it so all lions without a heritage cannot be chased.

This would mean that:
• Groupies could no longer be chased (this is a big source of NCLs in the chase pool in May).
• Newly Claimed Lionesses could no longer be chased - whether that means they are special or from the generic base pool.
• Theoretically, this would mean that the chased pool would eventually become just that - lions bred by players that have been chased for others to enjoy, or as a heritage wipe. (I see you, Find My NCL!)

In my opinion this will:
• Increase the value of real chased NCLs, they can't just be bred and chased off again now - so may as well be redistributed back into the trading centre for a profit!
• Decrease the number of "potato" NCLs/Groupies in the chased pool.
• This may also stop the uptick in "give me your unwanted NCLS!"/veiled begging that I have noticed.
• This should be easier than introducing a new way to dispose of adult lions, because the filter for this already exists on the adult sex changer where it says - "lions without heritage cannot be sex changed."

What could go wrong with this?
• People may end up stuck with NCLs they cannot dispose of.
Solution: There are always karma buyers who are happy to pay for them in order to kill/nature reserve them - which deletes them from the game instead of adding them to the chased pool. Players could also change their personalities to heartless or protective to remove the energy cost themselves. In my opinion, for example, its better to save 50% energy by killing/nature reserving 10 lionesses, versus getting the free 30% energy from hyperactive to then end up wasting that energy killing/nature reserving lionesses.

• The chased pool could get too small.
Solution: I doubt this will happen, chased lionesses are replenished every minute of every day because lioden is played 24/7 and people are always chasing off lions. I have witnessed someone explore with the Korobela be told "there are no chased lionesses right now" only to take two more steps and another spawns! Assuming that on average every active player sends 1 chased lioness to the pool every day; we're looking at 488,284 chased NCLS potentially being added to the pool (lets not forget a portion of these are deleted), though realistically even if only 1/10th of the current player base chase one NCL a day that's still 48,828 chased lions in the pool a day.

Please feel free to ask questions, submit feedback or additions! I'd love to be part of the solution of this issue that seems to now be the bee in everyone's bonnet!

I like any option that will make chased lioness's more unique. And not find re-chased NCLS/groupies etc.

Killing lioness's and it taking energy has really been the down fall of this game.
I say remove it or bring back a portal that gives us like 1SB per lioness to send somewhere.

Need better options to get rid of NCLS. nobody wants to use energy and need to change personality to fix it :(.

I like your idea , however if its not simple to do. I vouch for free killing .

Any incentive to clean explore of re-chased NCLS <3 Your suggestion is a fresh start !

I loved July's portal as a NCL removal option! It was certainly a good way to keep the chased pool clear!

I did explore with a catnip and of 20 NCLs I found, 10 were "chased" regular NCLs that wasted my energy to find!
I do have a heartless personality, so can kill lions for free - but it's only because I don't care about my karma (though White Lion Pelts are nice when mass breeding!), but some people do care, or value energy from personalities over the energy saved with heartless/protective.

Although this would probably be the easiest option, I’m not a fan. I re-chase actual chased girls all the time. I kill the crappy ones, re-chase the good ones.

Recently my chased collection got out of hand, I put around 90 girls up for trade for a week, sold about a dozen and re-chased the rest. And a lot of those were good lions. Special bases, rosettes. Lots of BO marks. Too good to just delete/kill.

I’d much prefer if there was some sort of filter on chasing, 3 or less markings = deleted.

The thing with the filter is, some people do chase potato rosettes with just the rosette, and some newbies enjoy getting those. Another thing is, who would dictate it? Everyone would want a different thing, for example by your example, that means a lion with say a combo base (as I have found these in explore) - like Cloudburst, if it has less than 3 markings it should be deleted?

Another issue with the filter is it would need to be quite in-depth, cover all bases, have a set marking amount, and then there's the debate of do we exclude breed-only eyes? skins? It would also need constant updating to ensure it works/doesn't accidentally class new raffle markings/bases/etc as deleteable.

It’s always going to block something good from being chased, no matter how you filter it though. A 3m cloudburst chased with no heritage would be deleted if rechased.

3 or less would eliminate all regular ncl’s from going back into the chased pool.

I definitely agree there's no way to make anyone happy with this; which is why I made this suggestion over a filter. That way no "real" chased gets lost, but also generic NCLs never end up there.

“real” Chased will be lost though. As I stated in my original comment I re-chase good chased ALOT. With this suggestion all of those will just be deleted. For example, I have an 8m astral chased weaning today who will be rechased. I don’t need her, she’s too good to kill and I couldn’t be bothered selling so rechasing is the easiest/best option and possibly gives another person a chance to claim her. This suggestion would 100% delete her.

Do not support and here's why!

I very often rechase good chased girls I've bred but don't need. So I breed em, keep whatever cubs I'm going to keep, then chase them for someone else to hopefully find. I do the same with event NCLs, which are 'just' NCLs, but I do this so anyone who potentially missed an event eye or mark they wanted could have another shot, as I especially appreciate finding those types of girls myself.

I appreciate the thought behind this and I understand it, but this isn't a problem and it doesn't need a solution.

This has not changed rates at all, people are just suddenly aware of it. This has not actively impacted gameplay.

If players want to see less re-chased, then they simply need to fodder them or sell them to a fodder buyer. This isn't an issue and it isn't something the devs need to 'fix' imo.

I don't support; the reason being because I have limited pride space and if I get a nice chased but she doesn't go with either my natural pride or my pretty pride, I am going to chase her back so someone else has the chance to appreciate her. Alternately if I get one I like enough to breed and spread traits, but may not want to keep around long-term, I will do the same thing.

I don't think a filter would be *too* complicated. I am not a coder, but basically something to the extent of:
If base = special OR eyes = special OR markings = T2,T3,T4,T5,T6 AND markings > 2 = Chased
Shouldn't be a need to keep adding to a filter as the markings are already inherently categorized.

Your thread shall be added to my Mega thread.
Don't worry, many others also have this issue.

I do not support this, unfortunately, but you have a good idea.

I don’t support, I’m sorry! Here’s my reasoning: Like @Fuego if I get a really pretty girl but she’s not, in my opinion, good enough to want to keep forever I want someone to be able to catch her, too. The market is finicky right now, and I don’t want a lion to sit collecting dust forever. Better to let her return to the chase pool. I like the general idea of where you’re going, but I do prefer the challenge of finding actual pretty chased girls and being able to give players some of my own chased.

I would rather prefer a lower chance for heritageless lions to be added into the chased pool, there's always litte gems like lou wrote. Or maybe groupies with rare bo traits some users would be very happy to come across.
