Hey guys, I finally got my jag boosts and I’ve been looking up how to use them, I just have a small question. When u first use the boost, the stud doesn’t matter right? (g1 jags are fatherless)? Say you do get a jag out of that breeding so it’s a g1 jag, but if you went to breed that g1 jag then the stud will matter? (like generation wise, marking wise, & base wise)? If a G1 Jag is born it will say Unknown for the father. I am unsure if the base is only drawn from the mother... I can't find anything about it. If you breed your G1 Jag and she has a G2 baby then yes, the G2 will show a real stud and his genetics will be in her heritage. 0 players like this post! Like? |

And I actually just found this.on the Wiki after I dug a little bit... "The base and mane colour they spawn with is determined by the parents that are bred together, which means that even though first generation Jaglions have "Unknown" jaguar fathers within lore, their genetics are impacted by the lion stud that breeds to their lion mother." I've seen several G1 jags inherit special bases from the "father", so it does carry influence in the breeding! (And there are a few combo based G1 jags as well) 0 players like this post! Like? |

It had never even occurred to me that the studs base might not matter for the boost... I was trying to breed combo bases on all my boosts! Lol 😆 0 players like this post! Like? |

thank you terrinthia! I just tried using my first boost (failed of course lol) with my stud, and a lot of his markings passed so it would make sense that base has a part to play as well, even if the father is “unknown” 0 players like this post! Like? |
