I love adopting new cubs from the tree, but only getting 1 or 2 doesn't scratch that itch, and if you have the fatherly personality you miss out on the benefits of the other personalities. It would be cute If the item was a baby bottle you could buy from monkey business. If the item requires restrictions it could require that you have a brood mother available to care for the cub. It would also help provide a base value on cubs and increase their market value. (Cost of item =cost of cub) Thank you for your responses! I did not think about how the use of a paid item would directly conflict with the mechanic of it being an equal opportunity raffle, and that's not what I want to take from others, as well as the cost of an item wouldn't directly influence the base value of cubs and I realize it would not affect their base value. Notes on a more specific use/function: To be fair to all players the limit would be 2 could be purchased per day, so you could adopt a total of 3. (4 if you have a Fatherly Personality) When you purchase these items you would be able to activate them on the adoption tree page , similar to the clicky you have in explore when you have an energy boost item in your inventory. For cost I would place it as a more expensive item in Monkey Business, in the $250-$350 an range, this would also curb it's use and keep the pools from being drained. What do you guys think of the Adopt-A-cubs being gender specific? An boy/girl baby bottle could be released in explore when one of the pools is extremely high, encouraging players to adopt from a specific pool. |

I don't particularly understand what you mean by Cost of Item = Cost of Cub. We cannot view what lions are in the tree, only their gender and age. Leopard Orchids, an item used to autoclaim chased NCLs, does not give a price estimate for the chased lioness; some people use the orchid to sell for much higher, or to keep even though she is realistically worth less than the leopard orchid. That kind of worth system would not work. I would personally suggest you revise this idea and make it easier to understand, because I personally have not got a clue what this item is, what it does, i'm just assuming it's to do with taking a cub from the tree, but there is no explanation as to how it's going to work, what is actually does [e.g adopt an extra cub - can only be used once per day] or anything else. No support. 2 players like this post! Like? Edited on 29/08/24 @ 07:20:33 by Infinightive (#177615) |

The giving tree has always been about free things, why add a paid aspect to that mechanic? People drop muties and special based cubs there all the time, suddenly what was once a random chance "raffle" of sorts becomes a competition in who has the most SB to buy this item. There would never be anything at the tree to begin with if the limit was in place. It's bad enough sometimes when there's 0 female cubs or adols on a semi regular basis but give some richer players the opportunity and they'll wipe the entire thing out within a day or two. I'll take getting a really good cub once in a blue moon over not being able to claim any to begin with. 2 players like this post! Like? |
