With the “bury” and the “discard” buttons right next to each other, I’m always worried that I’ll hit the wrong one.

And, because I’ve committed confirming the “are you sure you want to bury” message to muscle memory, I just KNOW that when I inevitably do hit the wrong button, the confirmation message won’t save me. I’ll just click right through before I realize

I don’t think the bury function needs a confirmation message, because it can be undone so easily.
