I’v had this thought running through my head for awhile, and I just want to ask a few questions since I can’t find anything talking about it.

1. Do GMO cows/lion meat help with breeding hybrids; like if I use a gmo cow on a hybrid, wouldn’t I get an increased chance for a hybrid per cub or would it just not work with hybrids and only work on other mutations (like overgrown fur, toothless, eyeless, ect)

2. Is GMO cows better for hybrid-breeding overall, or is it lion meat? (Not asking about price, just how affective each one is)

3. Does gmo cows give a 30% for a mutation per cub?

4. Does lion-meat give a 15% chance per cub?

I took a long break from the game so I haven’t had the chance to test this for myself, and I just want to get conformation that gmo cows DO work for hybrid breeding so I don’t waste my jewel beetles

Hi there!
1. GMO cows/lion meats only raise the chance of a RANDOM mutation occurring. If you want to pass on the mother's mutation (DOES NOT WORK for all hybrids and primals), you can use a lion scrotum for a 25% pass rate. GMO cows/lion meats help to increase the rate for a mutation to successfully appear on a cub (not the mother's).

2. If you want to pass on hybrids, none of those are beneficial, unless you want to breed a first generation hybrid. If you just want to pass on the hybrid mutation from the mother, use a buffalo scrotum or grain of paradise to allow for more cubs in each litter (since each cub has a 10% chance to receive a hybrid mutie if the mother is a 1st generation, 5% for each if the mother is not). But if you want to breed a 1st gen, i'd say to use a GMO cow since there is a very high rate for a random mutation to occur.

3 & 4. Both are no. Like i've stated above, you must use a buffy or gop to pass on the mother's hybrid mutation.

@Velvant
here's the mutation roll order:
Leopon OR Overgrown Fur OR Tigon† ➜ Patches/Piebald† ➜ GMO Cow/Lion Meat ➜ Cotton Root Bark ➜ Fertility/Natural Chance ➜ Lion Scrotum ➜ Primal ➜ Dorsal Fur† ➜ Tigon Boost* ➜ Mukombero ➜ Dorsal Fur Guarantee*

so leopons/OG fur/tigons, roll first before patches and pies
