So my main thought behind this is that for many cultures, December is a month to spend with family, to take time to celebrate and to slow down and appreciate warmth and love and all those good cozy things. However, the December event has a lot of farmable desires that might leave players juggling gameplay and aforementioned irl callings. For players with large prides, it is especially stressful to keep up with hunting as you roll over each day to explore but otherwise don't have as much time to play.

My suggestion would be an explore related drop, ice blocks, or something of the like, to keep food cold and increase the time it takes for it to rot! It would be for the month of December only, melting away as the festivities end.
