Feline Mammary Hyperplasia (FMH) To preface, if you do not support this suggestion please comment why. Just pressing the button does not give me any idea of what to change and is generally unhelpful. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What is it? a benign condition that causes one or more of a cat's mammary glands to enlarge. It's usually seen in younger cats, but can also affect cats of any age or gender if they are receiving progestogen medication. These cats can be mistaken for nursing cats, but the mammaries do not contain milk. How severe is it? FMH can range drastically in size, severity, and amount of mammaries swollen. My research and idea is based on a cat with 2-4 mammaries swollen, and for lack of a better way to describe it, an AA cup size on a cat. (Note: please look up pictures at your own discretion. While most cases are benign, some are not and are very upsetting to see. The images Google shows are some of the most severe forms of this and are very upsetting to see for some.) What cats does it appear in? Young, sexually intact females, pregnant or pseudopregnant queens, and cats of either gender receiving progestogen medication (Note to disregard mentions of progestogen as lions in the wild usually aren’t on progestogen medication lol. This will just affect female lions if it becomes an actual thing, which I doubt will happen.) Why would you want this implemented? Because one of my cats has it! :3 i’ve been thinking about mutation ideas for a bit and thought FMH would be interesting to see! (Note: My cat is perfectly healthy, this condition does not affect her movement or any other aspects of her life.) Is this even a mutation? By definition, FMH is not a mutation. Rather it is caused by hormonal stimulation, which can naturally occur in females. Then why are you suggesting it? Because it is a condition that affects cats and I think it’d be neat! FMH would be an AMP (Adult Mutation Present) and I think it would fit in well. That may just be my opinion, though. I’d love to see some more variations in AMPS as opposed to mostly mane mutations and I thought this could be a good one to throw in the mix! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ How would it work in game? FMH would affect fertility, but would mostly just be for fun flavor texts! I think a pose would be fun, though I can’t draw so i’ll try and explain it best I can! Jolly pose mixed with Nesting pose, lioness lying on her back tilted slightly to expose undercarriage, mammaries shown similarly to Nesting pose. Flavor texts! I would love any ideas for these as this mutation will be mostly flavor texts based! “You see a cub walk up to [LIONESS] and ask if she’s given birth, and if so, can he play with the cubs? Hey, you’re not supposed to ask a lady that!” “You ask [LIONESS] to come help you with something real quick. She smiles and pads over, her undercarriage swinging.” “A nursing lioness remarks to [LIONESS] that they don’t know how she handles the extra weight all the time. Hah. Funny.” “You see [LIONESS] lying down and grumbling as she picks brambles, grass, and other debris out of her underbelly. She complains that it hangs too low and gets all dirty, ruining her usually perfect fur, as she puts it.” I would love some feedback and ideas for flavor texts! Note: please look up pictures at your own discretion. While most cases are benign, some are not and are very upsetting to see. The images Google shows are some of the most severe forms of this and are very upsetting to see for some. Not only are these images upsetting, they are wildly inaccurate. If it is wanted I can search and provide some accurate and non disturbing examples. |

Some people have nesting poses turned off for a reason, while interesting, visually it could make people uncomfortable 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I feel like this mutation doesn’t really add anything impactful to the game and it could definitely make people uncomfortable, sorry 1 player likes this post! Like? |

It’d most definitely make people feel uncomfortable and there is bound to be a weirdo out there that would yk out of it. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I thought it would be a cute idea and I went to research what it looked like and it wasn't a very cool thing... many people would be uncomfortable with this, so it's best not to 0 players like this post! Like? |

I did mention that the top results on Google are very upsetting and are some of the most extreme cases, I apologize if that was missed. Usually in felines it’s just a larger section of fat on the mammary, similar to a nursing queen. Again I apologize, the images on Google are upsetting, but also incredibly inaccurate for most cases. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeahh this is a very uncomfortable concept. I know its natural but I fear it'll attract the wrong audience, and we technically have minors in this game too. Sorry, I don't support. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Personally I have no issue with seeing teats on the nesting pose, so I initially thought “oh big teats ok.” No different from the Big Balls mutie suggestion. But then I looked it up and I can understand why some users don’t like it. It looks painful even if it’s not. At the same time, there’s already mutations that are hard to look at (ex: Harlequin Ichtyosis) and lots of other “uncomfortable” art like poaching and mating. Still, people are somehow able to treat that stuff normally but act weird when it comes to mammaries. It could lead to conflicts between users. With that in mind, I’m not sure whether to support or no support 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/09/24 @ 17:34:57 by Osmanthus (#293908) |

The appearance that would be on lions would be nowhere near as severe. I did mention a few times that Google has the most severe cases as the top results and they are not accurate. As for bringing up the Big Balls mutation post, thank you. I’ve had people saying that weirdos are going to be into this? My cat has FMH and that’s why I made this post, it’s a bit upsetting seeing people say it’s so disturbing. I really appreciate the comment, thank you for the feedback and no worries if you decide not to support:) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah some folks are very sensitive about mammaries and it’s odd seeing how polarized this is in comparison to Big Balls (which still has plenty of non-supporters but significantly more supporters). Nonetheless we do have to think about it with this in mind, unfortunately 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Oh yeah for sure. I’m one of them lol. But I’m just drawing a comparison between how the two subjects are treated despite both being “big reproductive part.” But as silly as that is, we do have to consider the potential conflicts that could pop up in response to this mutation 0 players like this post! This would be a funny mutation. the whole reason I wrote this is because my cat was running up to me and I thought it was kinda funny because you can visibly see her mammaries swinging under her as she runs. When she was smaller I remember her playing with a laser pointer and spinning around so fast that it flew under her and pulled her backwards a little. (again, she is in no pain. I find this important to state because the pictures online are incredibly misleading about the realities of this) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Personally, I don't enjoy any of the lethal mutations, cyclopia and harlequin specifically disturb me quite a bit. However, I'm also not the center of the universe and I don't care that the mutations exist in the game because they're rare and easy to avoid. So I wouldn't be against this mutation. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm just not necessarily sure what this would add to the game? The big balls mutation, even though I no supported lol, at least suggested adding something to it--a fertility boost. You mention a fertility effect but I don't see it stated exactly what that is. Sorry if you do, but can you clarify? I think it is fair to consider that some people have pregnancy visuals turned off and there are suggestions to make that pregnancy pose toggle universal. I have mine turned off because they annoyed me, but I've seen people express that mammaries displayed like that make them uncomfortable due to being transgender, for example. Now while I don't feel like arguing whether that's too sensitive or not, it is a thing I've seen put forward in assumedly good faith and supported. 2 players like this post! Like? |
