Are you new to Lioden and have gotten the lucky chance to have a Raffle Lioness choose to join your pride? Maybe you don’t have much experience in Raffle Lionesses and would like to start? Or would like more advice when it comes to breeding your RLs/RLCs. Then this forum is just for you!

I will give you as much tips and tricks as I can and wish you good fortune in your future breedings!

The most important question, what is a Raffle Lioness?
Raffle Lionesses, aka “Special Lionesses”, are designs of new and exclusive markings that are breed only, which means you can only get the markings through breeding!
Every Friday at 12am LDT (usually), the Raffle Lioness will change with a new one while the old one will choose her new pride! Raffle Lionesses will most likely have their own unique, breed only bases, as well as breed only markings that they can have.

Now, you might be asking, “Mal, what items do I need to breed my raffle lioness (clone)?” Well I’ll tell you, you silly goose!

Crunchy Worm ~ Upon use, a lioness's next breeding will have a 25% chance to duplicate the mother's looks onto 1 cub from the litter. This item will not copy mutations.
Crunchy Worms WILL BE YOUR BEST FRIEND (or you’ll hate them because they’re sometimes incredibly stingy). You will need this to pass the EXACT look of your Raffle Lioness. You can always try for natural litters but I’d be very careful, especially if you have combo based lionesses. (Combo bases are breed only bases that you have to take two factors and breed together to get it. Rare chance but raffle lionesses LOVE having these. If you’re interested in learning more, check out the wiki for the different combo factors for each combo base!)
You can get Crunchy Worms from the October Event with Blood Beetles or by purchasing them from another player.

Ochre Saltlick ~ Give this salt lick covered with ochre dust to your chosen lion/stud to make their next litter inherit the mane shape and mane colour from the parent you chose.
Giving this to your lioness increases the chance of getting a clone or getting more nrlcs! This will copy the mane and the mane color to the lioness. You do not need this to get a clone, but it does give you higher chances!
You can get Ochre Saltlicks from the Septemver Event with Jewel Beetles, possible item from the Black Friday Sale in November, or by purchasing them from another player.

Ochre Powder ~ Increases the chance of non-rosette markings passing to cubs by 10%. This effect stacks if used on both mother and father. It can be used with Ochre Gnawrock - it will ignore guaranteed slot and increase chances of others.
Giving this to your lioness increases the chance of getting all of the markings onto your cubs, even if your raffle lioness doesn’t pass, you could at least get a 10/15+ nrlc which could prove to be valuable when selling depending on the rarity of the raffle lioness! You do not need this to get a clone, but it does give you higher chances!
You can get Ochre Powders from the Treasure Hunting Events with Doubloons that happen in January, May, or September or by purchasing them from another player.

Opal Saltlick ~ Give this mineral to your chosen lion/stud to make their next litter inherit the eye color from the parent you chose.
Giving this to your lioness will ensure that the eye color of your raffle lioness passes just in case the crunchy doesn’t work. This can increase the chances of NRLCs which can prove to be valuable depending on their rarity! You do not need this to get a clone, but maybe you just want some pretty eyes on your cubs!
You can get Opal Saltlicks from the Monkey Business for only 500sb.

Rock Salt ~ Give this mineral to your chosen lion/stud to make their next litter inherit the skin colour from the parent you chose.
Giving this to your lioness will ensure that the skin color of your raffle lioness passes just in case the crunchy doesn’t work. This can increase the chances of NRLCs which can prove to be valuable depending on their rarity! You do not need this to get a clone, but maybe you just want some pretty skins on your cubs!
You can get Rock Salts from the Monkey Business for only 200sb.

Buffalo Scrotum ~ Use this on your main male to guarantee a minimum of 3 cubs in his next immediate breeding.
This will be given to the stud! I suggest if you’re choosing to breed your raffle lioness or a clone that you try to stick with the generation your lioness is. Ex. Raffle Lionesses will be generation 1, so you’ll want to find a stud that is also generation 1 so that you can have a generation 2 clone. You can check the generation of your stud by selecting the View Full Heritage. If they don’t have parents(which states it as unknown), they are a generation 1, if they have parents but no grandparents, the lion is a generation 2. the number increases with each parent.
This can either increase your chances of a clone or increase your chances of NRLCs, however you want to see it. It’s a controversial topic, so you can choose if this is important or not!
You can get Buffalo Scrotums from the February Event, the August Event or from purchasing them from another player.

Lion Meat ~ Cannibalism is unnatural enough to cause your lioness's next breeding to have a low chance to result with a mutated cub. (Chance is much greater than 1% fertility would have, but lower than GMO cow).
Giving this to your lioness increases the chance of getting a mutie, it’s not a big percentage, but it’s still there! You can use these to try and get a mutated clone, how exciting would that be! RNG does not always work in your favor, so don’t be upset if you don’t end up getting what you want.
You can get Lion Meats as a possible reward from the Lioness Quest (claim 50 lionesses), the Gorilla Enclave for 300MT, during the August Event or by purchasing them from another player.

GMO Cow ~ In response to locust plaguing the crops, humans created genetically modified cattle. Who knows what will happen to lioness's next litter if she eats some of this meat! - [next breeding, high chance of mutated cub but not 100%]
Giving this to your lioness increases the chance of getting a mutie, it’s a bigger chance than the lion meat, but it’s not 100%! You can use these to try and get a mutated clone, how exciting would that be! RNG does not always work in your favor, so don’t be upset if you don’t end up getting what you want.
You can get GMO Cows from the September Event, a possible item from the Black Friday Sale or by purchasing them from another player!

Yohimbe Bark ~ Use this item to shorten a chosen lioness's breeding cooldown by one day per bark. It cannot be used on pregnant or nursing lionesses.
You can use these to capitalize on how many breedings you can get from your raffle lioness! More heats = more cubs and more possible chances for clones! 20 yohimbe barks can be used as long as she isn’t nursing! Aging Stones, which can be bought in Oasis for 2gb, will age the cub to adolescent so you don’t have to wait for the clone you got to age up to breed again. Or you can wait the 5 day cooldown and use 15 barks, but your raffle lioness does age up. The choice is yours!
You can get Yohimbe Barks from the February Event or from the Gorilla Enclave for 250MT.

Best way to usually get a clone is to breed to the same clone! “But Mal, what if there isn’t any clones?” That’s completely okay, you can always try to get nrlcs and king them yourself or sell them as patrolled males so other people can king them! Patrolled males make sure they cannot be sex changed to be bred! Using Ochre Powders, Ochre Saltlick, Opal Saltlick and Rock Salts can increase chances of NRLCs!

Always remember: Lioden is a game of chance! There are chances you will not get exactly what you want (this goes for any breeding) and you can get frustrated easily from your Raffle lionesses not passing. Do not stress yourself, do not fear, you are not alone and a lot of us RL/RLC breeders feel your pain! You will get that clone one day, do not lose hope! You CAN DO THIS!

Another thing that I wish someone told me as someone joining the RL/RLC culture is that breedings CAN BE EXPENSIVE, but do not let this deter you away. If you grind breeding items, getting the funds for the breeding should be easy! You just have to figure out what you want to prioritize! The only item you REALLY ABSOLUTELY NEED is a Crunchy Worm.

Other than that, happy RL/RLC breeding and good fortunes to you!
