so i'm not super great at reading the heritage charts of my lions. i don't usually care for lionesses/sub-males, or even non-mutated kings, but since this guy is a smilus + my future king, i figured it would be good to know what generation he is & if he's clean or not (i personally don't care, but for studding purposes i think it's a good thing to know): Dante I can't find any other smiluses in his heritage (his father was a ferus + his grandfather was a pie), but i might be reading it wrong. is generation specific to one mutation variant (ie. smilus) or the mutation group (ex. primals as a whole)? ![]() |

Hello! He'd be considered 'inbred' (instances of inbreeding show in the mother's line Pluto918. There are various terms folks have invented to get around this such as 'first-page clean' but generally you'd want to avoid advertising him as clean to the current playerbase Generally I don't see lineage counted when instances of inbreeding appear but you'd go for the longest-line you can reach & count from there (low-gen clean is a thing; low-gen with instances of inbreeding far back in the line is generally just stopped there)? So he's long-gen with instances of inbreeding far back, not sure generation count would offer anyone much unless they're after a longest-line/most-inbreeding for fun? There are no special boosts for Primal variants or non-hybrid muties (such as Double Uterus) for being First Gen, so he's not officially a first gen mutie as far as the game is concerned. For hybrids, First Generation status does matter as it is listed in their official Appearance: Mutation because first gen hybrids have a 10% passrate chance vs other non-first-gen's 5%. A hybrid stud cannot pass the mutation so even if it happens to be a kinged first gen hybrid that's not relevant to breeding/cub status. You could say he's the first Smilus in his lineage, but that's more a cool lore fact than an actual in-game status? Everything here is a player-made term, so these are just the most common instances where such things are relevant for stud advertising as you've mentioned. <3 Hope this helps offer one player's insights. ^^ <3 ![]() |
