Currently, temporarily dismissing the rabies notification works for 24 hours from the moment you dismiss it. It is also browser specific, NOT account specific, meaning you can dismiss it on your rabid account, become infected with rabies on your other account, and not realize it until your energy stops regenerating at 80%. If you use the same browser for both accounts, anyway. The first change I'd like to see made to the notification would be to make the notification account specific rather than browser specific. I don't need to be reminded I have rabies when I switch devices/browsers, I already figured it out while I was on the other browser! I use Brave on mobile, and on PC I use Google Chrome for one account, and Firefox for my other account. I got tired of temporarily dismissing the banner 3 times every day, so I permanently disabled it for the rest of the event on my PC browsers. I'll probably be confused on the days where I play mostly on PC rather than mobile, but whatever lol. Additionally, instead of resetting the notification every 24 hours, it should reset at rollover. If I dismiss the notification at 12pm LDT, it's sort of useless between 2:05am-11:59am when I likely have already been playing with the knowledge that I have rabies. Not to mention that there's no good way to find out when you've been infected while the notification is disabled for that 24 hour period, unless you paid attention to the text after a battle that infects you. Otherwise, if infected by a player, it won't let you know until it has been 24 hours after your last notification dismissal. There is a slight red border around your lion's portrait in battles, but I can't say I really look at that very often let alone notice it on its own with how faint it is. For example, I cured my rabies this morning (because I forgot to do it last night smh) and got a player to infect me after I fed my king, but I didn't realize it until I actually started exploring for a while and found a rabies battle encounter. And of course, 4 hours later, my notification came back to tell me I had rabies. Yes, I found out already, thank you. If anyone has any critiques or things to add, please let me know! ---------------- My other suggestions: Masterpost here |
