I'm a member of The Lioden Conservatory, and I decided that since I have a Copal-maned lioness and no one else in the clan is really focusing on that particular trait, I might as well get to work on restoring it.

Basically, Copal is classified as critically endangered - the highest level of risk for a marking/base/color/shape/whatever functionally disappearing from the site - because the numbers of pride members with it are less than reliable: true, there are supposedly several thousand lions with it, but it's difficult to determine how many of them are on active accounts or will ever actually produce Copal-maned cubs. Since there are less than fifteen kings with Copal manes (only five of which are available for studding, which mostly just makes my life harder), it's counted as critically endangered

So, this is the start of my "Technically not officially TLC, but still kinda linked, but mostly its own thing" Copal Mane breeding project!

Edit: Forgot to mention this! I don't really have any lions to give away or reverse-breed at the moment, but I will, of course, also conduct giveaways and free reverse-breedings as much as possible to help encourage the spread of this trait!
