Lioden is registered in England & Wales, meaning it's a UK Company. While I'm personally based in the US, I'll do my best to provide correct information on their legal standings in the UK. I'm not a lawyer.
To view the text wall of references, view the spoiler.
According to 's site under Copyright, this statement is issued:
"You get copyright protection automatically - you do not have to apply or pay a fee. There is not a register of copyright works in the UK.
You automatically get copyright protection when you create:
- original literary, dramatic, musical and artistic work, including illustration and photography - original non-literary written work, such as software, web content and databases
- sound and music recordings
- film and television recordings
- broadcasts
- the layout of published editions of written, dramatic and musical works
You can mark your work with the copyright symbol (ยฉ), your name and the year of creation. Whether you mark the work or not does not affect the level of protection you have."

According to based in the UK; Cascading style sheets (CSS) are largely responsible for the specification of the appearance of a web page. CSS directives are applied to mark-up by web browsers in the process of rendering a web page. They influence or determine such matters as the positioning and spacing of elements on the page, the colour of page elements and font type, size and style.
On the face of it, CSS files should be protected by literary copyright. However, as with HTML, there will be cases where the originality hurdle has not been surmounted. In other cases, however, where the originality of the CSS can be demonstrated, protection should be available.
And Lastly, according to this post by Xylax on the ; "What is not allowed - tracing, copying, eyeballing, gridding, frankensteining/frankendolling. You CAN exhibit such art if credit to original artist is given - however you cannot make profit on that.
- Tracing is drawing over the photo/art.
- Copying is drawing a copy of a photo/art not necessarily traced, or traced with an artistic deviation.
- Eyeballing is producing a copy of the photo/art without tracing. The copy might differ enough in anatomy or details to not match perfectly, but it's still obviously a copy of the original.
- Gridding is producing a copy of the photo/art using a gridding technique.
- Frankesteining/frankendolling is picking various photos and creating a collage from them using a head, body, paws from different angles/photos and tracing/copying it."
Based on the Law of the UK, and by Xylax's own post which mentions Copying & Frankensteining, it is reasonable to assume that Lioden would consider the theft of Code a reportable offense.

Almost every Coder on Lioden that I know will offer you help if you need it! There is no need to take code snippets from people's dens. If you see code on someone's profile that you find neat, DM them to ask them about it! Chances are they'll be exited to share it with you.
There's plenty of free resources available to anyone who wishes to learn how to code. It's important to remember that Coding is not a get-rich-quick type of hobby! Coding is an art in the form of a puzzle, and it's only natural for the creators of that code to be highly protective of it or simply be too busy in the moment to explain it. If the coder denies you the code snippets, that's final. You are not entitled to someone's help or code snippets. No Means NO.
