There are 2 terms, first: what do you mean by "Freeze"?

"Freeze" is often used casually by players to mean "not aging" by not rolling over the account the lion(ess) is on, where she will be 'unfrozen' as soon as the account rolls and she resumes aging.
In this use-case, she can still be bred as long as she's under ager 14 years old (her last breedable day) before she becomes unable to be bred at 14 years 1 month old.
Some players say "not rolling" or "not rolled" to avoid any confusion.

The other term "freeze" refers to officially in-game to creating a Frozen lion whose officially status will be "Frozen" in-game who uses a Frozen lion slot. These lions can never be unfrozen and bred; once frozen, there's no going back. You can "retire" then to your Pride Dynasty though, which will 'get rid' of them back to normal Pride Dynasty storage for 1GB if desired (you'll have to click "Store Records" within 7 real-life days (not Rollovers!) to save them if that's what you want to do, or they'll be gone for good!) and open up a freezer slot they'd previously occupied on your account.
This requires an item, and is typically done for Lethal mutations or to create a frozen-trophy of a valuable/favorite lion/hybrid who can be traded between prides.
To reiterate, once done it cannot be undone so you can't, say, 'temporarily' freeze a breedable lioness on your rolling account & then unfreeze her to be bred again- once done, she'll never be 'living' again. ^^' <3

Therefore: If you just want to stash/store her & pick up her normal life again later, you'll need to use the first method (transferring her to your side/main (whichever you won't be using regularly on a daily basis) & then not rolling until you're ready for her again).
