Roughly 50% for each parent's skin, unless there is a skin tied to that specific base (ex: finch & bunting skin, outlaw & ruffian skin, etc.). In this case, it's 80% base-associated skin (assuming the associated base passes), 10% parent A, and 10% parent B.

Skin genetics are complicated, as certain bases can also produce breed-only skins that can pop up once a specific base is bred during a pairing. This is different from being associated with the base passing, as these breed-only skins may pass regardless of if the relevant base passes (ex: pearl may pass quail skin regardless of if pearl passes). Unlike base-associated skins, there is not an official passrate listed for breed-only skins.

The best way to pass a specific skin is to use a rock salt for 200SB from Monkey Business for a 100% passrate of the rocked skin to every cub!

Cubs bred from certain parents with certain bases have a 7% chance to roll a breed-only skin that matches the parent's base. This 7% chance rolls after the initial skin inheritance above, so after the 10%/10%/80% chance for the cub to get a skin tied to the base it is generated with or the skin of one of its parents.

Eye Pass Rates:

Eye genetics are unique to each eye and can be found on the lioden eye wiki! Some eyes like Sunglow have a 100% BO fail rate (100% Sunglow fails), but most BO eyes hover between 30-60% BO fails (including the BO eye itself and potentially any BO fails).

The best way to guarantee any eye color passes is by using an Opal Saltlick from Monkey Business for 500SB!

Breed Unique eyes are a new system where an eye colour can "fail" into a unique colour, only available from the primary "parent" colour. The following eye colours can only be bred from specific eye colours, though they can also pass themselves as normal during breeding.

Like combo bases, combo eye colours have multiple factors that can contribute to them being bred.
Unlike combo bases, combo eyes do not need to be bred to themselves or their factors in order to pass down during breeding. With combo bases, if you have an Elysian-based lion, the only way Elysian will pass is if that lion is bred to another Elysian-based lion, or an Ice, Divine, or Ebony-based lion. With combo eyes, you can breed a combo-eyed lion to another lion with any other eye colour, and you can still end up with cubs that have the parent's combo eye colour.

Sectoral eyes only have two factors for each eye colour, and the factors can be found within their names. For example, to breed a Sectoral Amber & Ice-eyed cub, you'll need to breed an Amber-eyed parent to an Ice-eyed parent.

- Marking pass rates

With BO markings, there's special emphasis on marking slots and rarity since it's more difficult than just picking a specific slot and applicator. Certain slots may not exist or only be propagated by a dozen lions, meanwhile other slots are in the thousands. If you need a specific rare or nonexistent slot for a project, you can request raffle lioness traits Here! While you can utilise the search feature to find slot rarity, it's easiest to use the Slot rarity wiki which shows lionesses and kings simultaneously.

The easiest way to pass specific slot(s) is by keeping the marking passrate mechanics in mind:
DS = Desired Slot, OS = Other Slot
- Desired Slot x Other Slot = 25% DS / 25% OS / 50% nothing passes
- Desired Slot x Nothing = 50% DS / 50% nothing passes
- Desired Slot x Desired Slot = 75% DS passes / 25% nothing passes
The stud slot will roll first, so sometimes having NOTHING in the stud slot is better than a marking that will roll over your desired slot. This is especially important for rare slots, but it may be helpful when trying to combine project slots too.

Your best chances for any given slot to pass is using an ochre powder on each parent and matching both slots, which gives you a 95% chance of that slot passing.Utilizing ochre powders is a cornerstone in any BO heavy project.

1. Why is piety not considered BO?
-> piety is generally not considered BO as it is applicable through piety marks in November! Therefore it technically isn’t “breed-only”

2. Is tier 6 (RMA exclusive) Bo?
The answer to that is... kind of! It depends who you ask. The breed only community is certainly not in agreement about T6 marks, some people consider them BO while others do not. They're RMA exclusives and tend to pop up much more often (5%) when compared to the other traits (.5-.8%), which may not seem like a lot but there's a large difference in statistically rolling an RMA slot. On average, it will take 20 RMAs to get a T6 mark, while a T2 mark will take 200 RMAs.
There's also a relatively small T6 pool to draw traits from compared to T2 and BO T3 traits, so people may end up getting a lot of the same T6 marks over and over when doing large RMA sessions. For those reasons (ease to RMA and lack of marking variety), people have kind of settled on coining them "BO-lite." They're more valuable than piety or applicator traits, especially popular types like mottled vents, but are still less valuable than T2 or T3 event BO traits.
