My idea is to change food from having a certain amount of uses to just having a percentage bar. It's annoying having to feed a lioness twice off the same zebra when she could eat her fill in one go. One use of a zebra feeds your lion 60%. A zebra carcass has 6 uses, so the carcass would have 360% meat remaining when unused. So say you have a lioness at 80% hunger. You click 'feed' and your lions hunger goes down by 80%, and the zebra's meat percentage bar goes down to 280%. This would save time because you don't have to feed the lioness twice off a carcass when it could have filled her the first time. I know all the clicking involved annoys me lol. When the carcass reaches 0% it disappears. There could be an option to switch between feeding systems and the default option would be food uses so new players are not caught off guard before they learn how much hunger satisfaction each carcass provides. Or you can type in the percentage of food you wish your lioness to consume. This would prevent running out of prey before all your lions had the chance to feed. Edit: As Paige said, This could also help for when you have lionesses that only need to be fed a little bit, but all you have are large carcasses & you really don't want to waste the 60% feeding capacity on the lioness when they only need 20%, but you have to because that's the only way it goes. |

I am afraid I cannot give my support for this. I think 'uses' is more helpful when it comes to a pride. I can distribute it among my ladies if I happen to have maybe a 6 uses zebra for 6 hungry lionesses who have more than 80% hunger. With uses, I can simply give each my lionesses 1 use with 60% filling evenly without having to fear that I wont have enough for everyone. Now with them eating from a carcass what they need, I would end up with at least one lioness that goes completely hungry, and another that was barely filled to about 60%. All in all, this wouldnt help people who have not enough food, or are following a tactic with feeding. I think uses are perfect and need no change. 0 players like this post! Like? |

That would be unnecessary and too many clicks already. I think uses are fine. They are a better guide than % itself. I dont want to click on a carcass, choose my lioness from a list, then go and choose the % I want to give it from the carcass. That would be too much time, and too many clicks. I already find what we have too much, let alone putting in an extra click and dropdown menu. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Axel, it would honestly only be one more click whereas clicking lionesses 2-3 times to feed again generates 2+ extra clicks , along with this lions do not feed to be fair or even , they feed because they are hungry and if needed they go hunt more food . People often give away food to those who need it if you are really that concerned, or you can simply hunt your girls more to get more food to feed them all and have extra food . Both are rather small dilemmas and can easily be fixed . 0 players like this post! Like? |

Axel that's why I said you can choose between feeding systems to the one you prefer. In your case you can keep it as 'uses' rather than percentages if thats what you prefer. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@PurpleKitty: Lionesses dont need to be fed to 0% hunger in order for them to stay in the pride. Some of us have feeding strategies which we like to use and indeed enables more successful gameplay. How much hunger your lioness has does not alter their success in hunting They can have 0% or 30%, doesnt matter. When they are pregnant, you have to feed them every day anyway, so I dont see the difference, only that my tactic would not work with this and indeed those who dont have much food would only suffer with this -given away food is gone just a few hours after rollover, and why should I buy food if I have that 6uses zebra for today for my 6 ladies? No need to throw out money for something I shouldnt need. @Sunfire: I was commenting on the % type thing you wrote. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 18/04/14 by Axel (#6627) |

I know what you mean about feeding strategies. I only feed my lions once they reach 60% hunger so food is not wasted and I don't have to feed them everyday. However if you choose to stick with the food uses feeding system then this idea should not be problem for you or others. You can continue to use the food uses way without worrying about the whole percentages ruining your feeding strategy dilemma. This idea is for those of us who would prefer less clicking involved with feeding. I know it takes me forever to feed even half my pride because I have a slow internet connection, so having to feed one lioness multiple times on one carcass can be quite a bother. With this idea its just one click and that lioness is done, on to the next. It would be completely optional. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support this. It would save a hella lot of time for me, especially when I'm on my phone and trying to take care of a bunch of donation lions I got for my family (the Naturalists). It'd just help in general. 0 players like this post! Like? |
