Welcome to Lioden Beta!

After a long, hard day of coding, fixing bugs, adding lots of new features to the game, we are proud to present you with an open game!

I will give you a run down of as many changes as I can remember, so bear with me:

Fixed Bugs
> If you post in chat, then refresh the page, it re-posts what you just typed.
> After successfully claiming a lioness, a blank page will appear with red words “This lioness is invalid!” However, the lioness will still show up in the den.
> Lion pictures aren’t showing up
> Baseless cubs are being born.

Investigated Bugs, No Issues Found
> After winning territory, the territory size isn’t going up.
> Not being able to go back to the forum when editing a post.

New Features And/Or Changes
> Territory map changes to 50 random territories of similar levels to you rather than ordering by ID
> The long-awaited - Energy boost item!!
> A new chat room has been added - see Chatter!
> Food expires after 10 days, it is auto removed from inventory
> You will see a warning in your Hoard when items are about to expire and see which items in particular are expiring
> Male lions have ages and when they reach "retirement age" (15) they will need to choose a male cub to continue their legacy. Lions can choose to keep how they look now or swap their looks for their cub's.
> Instant birth GB item
> There is now a skill cap for each level
> You can now buy SB with GB
> Gold Beetle spending history
> Silver Beetle spending history
> Transfers (in place of trades for now) for cubs and lionesses, gold beetles, silver beetles, and items.
> Leaderboards for most cubs bred.
> We have a new “keep logged in” option. It’s annoying to be logged out ;D
> Counter on pages for number of cubs bred.
> GB item to force lionesses into heat (zebra heart) :D
> Member referrals with a very pretty banner ;D
> Changed “Hunger” to make it so it’s better to be 0% hungry than 100%. Makes more sense.
> Confirmation alert is displayed before discard
> The number of days before lioness gives birth is now displayed on her page.
> Lionesses cannot be bred if they are below 50% hunger
> Cubs having to nurse for 4 days - so not needing to be fed.
> Redirect to lioness page once caught successfully.
> Board edit history only appears once.
> In chat and on profile pages and online members, icons for admins/mods.
> Pedigrees/heritage for cubs have been added.
> Introduced a new Reroll item.
> Maximum territory size is now 20 - with further increases purchased for Gold Beetles.
> You can change lion’s name for 1 GB.
> You can hunt at 2 years of age. :)
> Lionesses must come into heat to be bred.
> Lionesses must be kept well-fed (50% or higher) during pregnancy or you risk miscarriage/abortion.
> Decorations and backgrounds have been added to lions and lionesses.
> Food items: lionesses need to be fed less than male lions, and cubs even less than lionesses.
> Impression stat has a reason :D.
> Breeding yields a 30% chance of dad’s base, 30% chance of mom’s and then 40% chance of a base in between them.
> Recent activity on the forums

Woah, that's a lot of updates! Sorry to bore you guys with all that! Hopefully you can read through it all and have a good grasp of the things we've managed to add!

There may still be some missing art as, unfortunately, perfection takes time ;D

Impression Progress
You can now improve your impression level! Battling other lions, successfully claiming lionesses and battling NPCs will give you some % towards improving your impression. Once this bar reaches 100%, you can visit your lion page to improve your impression level!

Referral Contest
We are having a big referral contest! Refer as many members to the game as you can, and you could be in for a chance at winning 100 Gold Beetles! Referrals can be found here ;D

This contest will run until the 30th March 2013 when winners will be announced :)
