I wanted to make this its own news post because it's been a serious bug for a long time now, but I think we've FINALLY managed to figure out what was going wrong.

Hopefully you should no longer experience extra energy loss when you fight NPCs in the explore feature.

If anyone still experiences this bug, please post in the comments - but HOPEFULLY that's the end of this dratted bug. xD
