Please clarify, do you mean HTML or CSS?

If CSS, they could just do what they did to the forums, but optional for each player. If it was disabled HTML, that would mean no tables, links, images, etc., which to me, would be more of a pain than not having them. If the HTML is disabled, and you have boxes with lots of info, then it would take forever to scroll down the page -_-

Or do you mean it would just as if there was no territory description? I'd support that or an option to make CSS "invisible", but not disabling HTML(because, as far as I know, all the text not in the < > would show up). There are some dens that are just a pain to look at :(

I'm not a coding junky, I don't really know the difference between HTML and CSS.

What I don't want to see is the different colors, backgrounds, all the weird stuff people have floating around (Covering links and chatboxes in some cases).

An option for no territory description might be nice, too. I never thought of that.

That's CSS, so what they did to the forums :)

We used to be able to have that kind of stuff in threads, but this same type of suggestions came up and they disabled external sheets(which is what is used to do CSS that isn't inline. Inline is like this style="background:blue") and < div > so people couldn't do floating images and boxes.

Considering < div > is what also makes boxes with scroll bars, I personally think the option to show no territory descriptions is better, that way, there's no long lists of text showing up instead.

I think what you want to disable would be the CSS not the HTML

Some people link their sales threads etc using HTML, but its CSS that codes the den layouts.

SOOOOO Much support. Nothing irritates me more than when we have to go in people's dens for an event, and they have an EDITED TO THE MAX 100000000 .gifs and .pngs that eat my internet data.

Support for whatever helps shut off the (it sometimes feels like) five thousand animated images some people have on their den pages.

It's like getting adware-blasted by den pages, only instead of ads it's various stuff people have coded in as decoration. I can't WAIT until I hit my first "bad link" because of it (because it's so FUN having some belatedly-loading massive graphic pop in front of my cursor as I'm clicking a link on the den page, and end up linked to who knows where because I clicked the image instead). I understand the desire to decorate one's den page, but enough is enough and there's a LOT of "too much".

This site could really use a separate, gallery page for people's dens, so they don't feel they have to put every single .GIF or art piece that catches their fancy on, and usually at the top of, of their den's main page.

I'd like to keep plaintext den descriptions, so we don't miss basic important info -- like what someone's main is if they're using that as a secondary-account icebox for lions, and have posted that they don't check messages there much, for example. But the rest needs its own place rather than being crammed onto the main den page.

No support, even if some of the CSS does hurt my eyes, it's cool to see what people have done to their dens. It makes them more personal. Plus, I think it's cool that I can have people see my den the way I want them to see it.

@Darth Vicha: you could just not use the option to disable it, though. I don't think this idea would remove it entirely, but some people (myself included) really don't like going into a profile for an event or whatever other reason and finding that the entire thing is neon colors with illegible fonts and floating graphics making it hard to navigate the site. It slows down the page something awful for me sometimes as well.

Support. Though I'd prefer if you could block individual people's profiles, as some are completely fine to look at. It's only a few people who have profiles so bad I want to close the tab right after opening it. o3o

I support. I'd love to turn off the eye-searing colors, blinking images, and what not, just to scroll down several times to find the button to attack for skill at the far bottom of their massive load out lol

Full Support. Sometimes my internet isn't so strong and I get stuck on a page that has too many images, or one of those static images that follow the screen. Specially when I play on my phone and i cant click stuff because of it.


Honestly I don't see how people could not support this. It isn't a mandatory change to profiles, it only gives each individual the choice if they want to see such things. I understand you guys may like seeing custom dens so just don't turn off the CSS. I don't understand why EVERYONE has to see it because you like it, and vice versa. It just makes the site more enjoyable and accessible to more people. :/
