Besides fertility factors, i think it would be 'more realistic' for older lionesses (say, 9-10 years+) to have a higher risk of giving mutations. This risk could increase yearly, as in the risk gets higher. Also, maybe lionesses could have complications during birth, and older lionesses stand for more complications. Complications such as cub death, cub coming out wrong way(near death), cub doesn't arrive on the due date, mother gets exhausted during birth (mothers health declines) adn other complications anyone can think of. Any feedback to these ideas would be good! |

It would also make sense for the lioness' fertility to lower as she ages. :) Your ideas are really good! ^ ^ ![]() |

Thanks! That's a good idea too, their fertility could even deplete completely! ![]() |

:/ I like the idea, ad I'm all for realism but it would then encourage people to only hold onto lionesses for their first few heats, spend up the process more. Beyond about 8 years or so, the lionesses would decrease in value by a fair bit, and encourage people to chase the older gals. Might increase the rate of cubs being bought, but it would decrease female retention rates x.x Idk. I just rather keep my girls into old age, you know? x.o ![]() |

Yeah, but they would still be fertile until 15 or so. Many people are after Mutations so older lioness would increase the risk of producing a mut. as their fertility lowers/old age :3 ![]() |

Hmm.. I suppose x3 I'm not sure what a good fertility lose rate would be tho' And most people breeding for mutts will tack the first gen females low, keep the lowest fertility cubs out of the next gen, and replace their mamas with them and repeat to get to the lowest possible %s. (Hell, i'm guilty of it xD) I do suppose that it then introduces somewhat of a balance to keeping females until their last heat or two to breed them... Idk x3 I support, but Idk how I'd feel about it if it's too steep of an impact xD ![]() |

Maybe it decrease by 5-10% a year? It would give the old lioness another 'use' if you know what i mean? instead of sitting around in a den :3 ![]() |
