Yeah, something like that. But how much time you leave for the trades is up to you. I am not sure really. A week or two. But the old trades really are building up now.

I think 2 weeks is plenty of time to get bids and with less auctions(oldies gone) you might get them at least somewhat easier.
I don't go past the first current page due to not knowing how old one may be.

I am not even sure if 2 weeks is necessary. maybe a week is more like it. While TC has the image of an auction house, however it is the place for direct trades which will be completed relatively shortly. Otherwise you will get 50+ pages. No one will browse 50+ pages.

Normally, trades that are interesting get completed shortly in a matter of a week. Those who stay after have a tiny chance of completion.
Long lasting auctions can be held in threads as well, where people bid on them. Then put up the trade once the winner was determined.

I think a week would be the best amount of time. You've got a week to advertise as-is, then it gets taken down if you've not accepted an offer, and you can edit your advertisement and try again. c:

There is a difference actually.
Advertisement is called when your first objective is not to sell the item/lion you put up, but to direct the people to the other stuff you also sell. be it your den sale or your thread.
Directly trading a lion is not exactly an advertisement because the only thing you will achieve is the sale of that specific lion. So it is a trade. Not an ad. Your first objective is to complete the trade as it is.

What if this limit could be something you set yourself? As in "this trade goes to the highest bid after X amount of time?" I suppose that would only work with SB/GB offers, though.

But there still would be a max time limit. Or else people would keep them up forever again.
Having a player-set limit within this max limit would be neat as well, though.
