The last thread got deleted by accident, so I'm making a new one. The previous thread had 143 supports before it was deleted. All you do in sub-male patrolling now is click on squares and hope they gain some stats and maybe bring back something. But what if it served a better purpose rather than just idly clicking squares? What if the number of squares and the type of squares you patrolled effected what your sub brought back? So here's my idea. Patrols 1-3 Squares He wouldn't have to travel as far, so he could carry back big carcasses/toys. Can bring back smaller carcasses, but is more likely to bring back large ones. Could potentially gain up to 3 stats. Patrols 4-6 Squares Basically how patrolling is now. Has an equal chance of bringing back anything. Could gain up to 6 stats. Patrols 8-10 Squares Can't bring back large carcasses/toys. It would simply be too far for him to carry back. Can bring small carcasses and toys. Can gain up to 9 stats. Being able to potentially gain more stats would help even out the lionesses over powering the lions. The type of squares you pick your lion to patrol would also depend on the type of items your lion brought back, much like in hunting. (patrolling the waterhole brings back waterhole items, etc) This would help players with quests, and would give your more to do than just randomly pick squares. Note: This will not let you gain stats faster, it just gives you the chance to earn more if you patrol a certain amount of squares. It does not mean that you will get 9 stats everytime you patrol 10 squares. It means you can get anywhere from 1 stat to 9 stats. |

I am going to keep saying, no support, since my comment obviously was deleted too. I dont see the purpose of this. We all know that stats mean more than items and carcasses your sub finds -which you can find at explore, while better carcasses are brought back by your lionesses-, so people would obviously choose the 10 moves instead of those that are lower... And if you look at the item guide and the wiki, you will see that basically all items can be found at each biome, so putting him on specific squares will not help the item hunt. Plus the submale's carcasses dont count into the hunting quests, thus that trait is useless as well. Lionesses already gain 1 stat per hunt, while submales gain random stats still, which already balances the power-difference between the two. Thus, I dont see how this will help. Nothing changes at all. Stays the same, people will keep choosing 10 moves instead of those lower to gain more stats. There will be no tactic involved, just like now. 0 players like this post! I think that if the idea came into play, something would have to be done about questing as well. just like making the rewards greater and making things found by the sub male count, as you pointed out. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Actually, what they find is counted in. Only that it doesnt matter on which tile you place your submale on, or even on which biome your lion is exploring. You find the same items, so the type of tile doesnt matter. Ad questing... I dont see it getting changed. mainly because the quest asks you to send your 'ladies' to hunt, and only counts in what those lionesses bring back. The submale.... is no lady... 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 26/02/14 by Axel (#6627) |

XD I support, only to make people want to patrol their males more. I feel they get over looked. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Okay I think a lot of people are misunderstanding the whole stat it thing. It will not let you gain stats faster, just gives you the chance to earn more if you patrol a certain amount of squares. It does not mean that you will get 9 stats everytime you patrol 10 squares. it means you can get anywhere from 1 stat to 9 stats. 0 players like this post! Like? |

but its still a good idea, this way we can gain at least more than 1-4 stats every time we go patrolling 0 players like this post! Like? |

rosethorn, even today you can gain more than 4 stats per patrol. It all is luck if you get none, or 1-9+. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think time should be a factor also to even out the possibility of gaining more stats. He patrols 10 squares it takes him 100 minutes to cool down he patrols 1 square it takes him 10 minutes to cool down. Right now sub male patrol is really simple and I think that's how it'll probably stay for some time though... 0 players like this post! Like? |

well the thing that makes my idea work is the fact that when patrolling smaller areas, he spends the same amount if time patrolling that one area that he would patrolling a big area. hes just patrolling the area more thoroughly. so the cool down would be the same. and plus, if you can gain 3 stats for patrolling one square, and a cooldown was 10 minutes, he could gain stats way too fast. 0 players like this post! Support! It doesn't need to add strategy or anything to sub male patrolling, and the quests could be edited to include things the sub male brings back. Of course people could just patrol them for stats, so lets make it that no matter how many squares the sub male patrols it has a small chance of bringing back nothing. The chance of it bringing back nothing would decrease if there were less tiles to patrol, (can't figure out the logic of that though) and decrease the higher level the lion is. 0 players like this post!
