Chinaka [Chosen] Deputy Guard The first child of Amai, Chinaka was born into the pride, but fathered by another lion. Early on she started to get into more or less friendly quarrels with the slightly older Kanika, daughter of Ode and they started to develope a competitive friendship. When the rabid Hyenas attacked, Chinaka followed Kanika more out of loyalty to her friend, but she, too, saw that the pride needed someone to defend them against the dangers lurking outside the cave. Still, she was honored, when Kanika appointed her deputy guard (with Shakha's approval), although for her friend it had been the only logical choice. "You greet Chinaka. She roars at you. She clearly likes you a lot."
