You see Shadowdance playing tag with Grandpaw Allaidh. Aww, look at those two go! ... Wow, did Grandpaw Allaidh actually manage to exhaust a full-energy cub this fast? ... And now it looks like he's trying to race with a cheetah. You shake your head. Seems like some things never change, no matter how old he gets.

Born the sole male cub of Starshadow, marked like the stormclouds that blanketed the caldera on the day he first drew breath, many said this strong young lion would surely grow to lead them one day. Allaidh doesn't seem quite as taken with the idea, but there's no denying the elderly king Tariku is quite supportive of the notion and insists on trying to get him on board.

Allaidh swiftly built himself a fearsome reputation in his lands, though his pride would assure you he is the most reasonable lion they've met. He cares deeply for those under his charge, but is well known for being utterly ruthless when it comes to anything that might inconvenience them in any way.

Though Allaidh will slay anything else that dares set foot in his territory, he has a soft spot for lionesses and cubs. At odds with his brutal reputation, he can often be found grooming his females and playing with their offspring.

Perplexingly, after eating a strange frog the mighty lion seems to have lost his mane. This clearly bothers him quite a bit, as he has taken to wearing a thick jackal pelt around his shoulders in replacement. Much less bothered are the local rogue males, much to Allaidh's humiliation, and nothing sends him into a rage faster than being hit on by a sadly mistaken "suitor".
