Biography
DAUGHTER OF KASI-YA-NURU

Not knowing her father didn't bother Tabia one little bit. Her mother spoiled her sometimes, but was always firm about being respectful to her elders, especially her adoptive grandmother, Shujaa. The older lioness was extremely caring, but could be quite stern and very stiff when it came to hunting technique.

Tabia was a natural huntress, but Shujaa often scolded her for what she called 'sloppy' technique. Tabia swore black and blue that it was just jealousy, and in part, she was correct. Her grandmother was an extremely skilled huntress, but her age had begun to make her job difficult. It was only her knowledge and technical ability keeping her competent now.

Headstrong and naiive, Tabia continued to do things her own way. She started teaching herself to hunt alone, ignoring her grandmother's warnings. For a time, Shujaa began to agree with Tabia, especially when the young lioness started coming home with carcasses as large as the primary hunting party!

Unfortunately, Shujaa was right all along, and it was proven when Tabia got more than she bargained for trying to stalk a young buffalo calf. She was attacked by the calf's father and is now permenantly scarred across her right eye.

Tabia means 'Nature' in Swahili.
