Name: Ahadi
Meaning: Her name means "pledge" or "with much promise".
Rank: Huntress, Second-in-Command to Jehlani
Bloodlines: Unnamed Tsavo male x Tanuki (outside lines)
Offspring: 0 (in current pride) | 0 living; 0 dead
Personality Traits: Strong-willed, confident, and powerful, Ahadi gives the impression of fearing nothing. She is respectful to those that rank above her in the pride, though she has a blunt tongue and will not sugarcoat things. When hunting, she is clever and efficient. While not the most social of lionesses, she is not unkind to her pride-mates and would gladly protect them with her life.
Physical Traits: Due to her Tsavo heritage, Ahadi is a large and strong female. Easily matching Jehlani in height and strength, she is the largest of female of the pride. Powerful through the shoulders and neck with muscular hindquarters, she is more adept at sprinting than extended chases. With large paws and massive jaws, she is more powerful than most and easily takes down and holds large prey during hunts. Like many of her bloodline, she is marked by a ridge of fur down her spine, thicker hair around her neck and chest, and tufts on her ears.
Companion(s): Her companion is the White Backed Vulture, Tai. Tai is a clever, but not particularly brave companion whose alliance with the Mkali-Jino pride is mostly in his own interests. He gets scraps and protection while they make use of his eyes. He has an uneasy truce with Seso, the Bearded Vulture who is Jehlani's companion, but neither seem to care for the other.
Currently: Recent to the pride, Ahadi is still finding her footing. Kiongozi is firm, but kind and Jehlani is rather fascinated to see another female like herself. Proud and confident, she is proving her worth to her new pride-mates.
History: Ahadi was born from a brief dalliance between a wandering Tsavo male and a lioness from another pride. There was no hiding her heritage when she was born, and even less so when she matured. She quickly proved her skill at hunting though, making a place for herself in her mother's pride. Still, she never quite seemed to belong. When she was given permission by her king to choose a new pride, she was happy enough to do so. It was by chance that Kiongozi noticed her, fascinated by the fact she strongly resembled his mentor Jehlani.
With some persuading, Ahadi agreed to join the Mkali-Jino pride and followed Kiongozi back to his lands. There she met Jehlani, who was almost shy upon meeting another so like herself. The two struck off a friendship, though not so strong and tender as the feelings Jehlani had for Batuuli. The old Soothsayer was kind and welcoming as well. In little time, the pride had accepted Ahadi despite her somewhat unusual appearance.
Still new though, Ahadi is attempting to prove herself as a matter of pride. She and Jehlani work well together in training and leading hunts, allowing the pride to be more efficent with two hunting parties at the moment. More skilled with training and socializing, Ahadi has taken over training the younger lionesses from the more aloof Jehlani. It is expected that when the first generation of cubs is born, she will be their teacher as well as taking over Jehlani's rank when the older lioness is ready for a more easy-going life-style.
