Wangwa

Once Wangwa was one of the Nightmare Girls. The proud princesses of king Arzavos'es pride, the feared Nightmare King. Yet despite all the destructive aura Arzavos had, he seemed to have a small place in his heart left that was not taken over by a cold that only cared about rulership.
The day he met the young Sakhima, he didn't kill him. He didn't directly chase him away. Instead the Nightmare King whatched the stricken lion, young, ugly, unimpressive and unexperienced, really nothing special in any way without any archievements. It would have been easy to erase this more than common lion of nothingness from the world but Arzavos didn't. After a long frosty stare he just went over and gave two beautiful lionesses into his care, one of them being Wangwa, the other Namara.
These lionesses where the first company for the lion who, since that day grew stronger, more impressive and into a successful pride leader.
It was Wangwa who immediately climbed up to be his first and stayed ever since and it was her to give birth to his first cubs.

Whatever the King of Nightmares had seen in the confused lion back then, the bond between them never vanished. Many other lionesses strolled over to Sakhimas pride from Arzavos, finding what the Nightmare King couldn't give to them: a secure home. And from time to time Arzavos strolls over, leaving lionesses pregnant and new strong cubs in Sakhimas den who doesn't seem to care as long as it is Arzavos.
Whatever invisible and not understandable bond was formed that day between a lion destenied to end without glory, without life and a king known for brutality and heartlessnes - Wangwa had been part of it's beginning.
