(Prince) Adran

The birth of Adran was a special one, for he was Adil's first son. His mother, Pyra, raised him while Adil trained him for the position of a sub male. Adran was an excellent hunter and an even better fighter, but his tongue held him back. He was arrogant and believed he knew more about running the pride than Adil did. He suggested they expand their territory by chasing away other prides, something Adil was against. Adran also had a ruthless nature. When he patrolled the territory, he killed anything that had crossed, whether it be a cub or an elder. Adil witness one such encounter where Adran had a cub's throat under his claws. Adil stepped in to stop the killing blow, but he had arrived too late. He scolded his son and promised when he passed, Adran would not become king. This made Adran grow angry and bitter.

Adran is now left in charge of watching over the broodmothers. Adil believed being surrounded by compassionate lionesses would curb his cruelty, but so far Adran has clung to his ways. Adran knows he'll never be king, but he still has dreams of belonging to a large pride with endless land. He believes it can only be achieved by attacking other prides and taking their land. So, when the broodmothers aren't looking, he whispers these ideologies to his brother, Kaleb, who he thought would be the next heir. However, the discovery of a special cub has Adil reconsidering.
