As they reached the den she would now call home, several lionesses came over to greet the newcomer. "Hello, little one. What name do you go by?" A beautiful lioness asked in a silky voice, "You may call me Pearl." Nervous and having no answer, the cub retreated behind Taurok. "She has no name," Taurok nudged the cub in front of him, "yet. What would you like to be called, cub?" "I - I don't know..." She thought hard. This was the first decision she was able and allowed to make herself. "How about... Nala?" She looked at Pearl, who nodded in approval. "Nala it is, then. Welcome, Nala, to the pride of Taurok," Pearl began to lead her around, and as the other lions continued greeting and welcoming her, Nala finally began to feel at home in her new family.
