The ancient cave was found by Katou in her first months of life and she left her mother sooner than most cubs would to live there. Although great with all members of the pride outside her own den, it was every lions for themself once they dared to enter. Even her most trusted friend wouldn't be allowed inside. Even her older sister, Joris, wouldn't enter, although Katou was glad to have her living just outside the cave as there was always someone to talk to. Rumours circulate the pride that cries come from the cave, the calls of monsters never heard by any living soul before. The few who raised the issue with Katou were met with a raised brow, and a smirk, before she turned away silently.
