The lionesses of King Nebulous' pride took a little convincing to believe that the stranger joining them was a mature lioness. It was the new Queen Zephyr who accepted it as truth first, reminding the pride that she was the first lioness with multiple tails they'd seen so there were gifts from the Gods that they'd yet to know about. Kimber was shocked at the thought that her difference could be a gift, her stature always seen as a burden before. Intending to only pass through, having never been truly accepted by a pride before, she changed her mind and timidly asked whether she could join them.

Welcomed into the pride, Kimber's attitude about herself quickly changed. She became proud of her body, the spirit of a strong lioness showing through in her personality. She settled atop an uninhabited cliff in the territory, often seen by the pride posing at the edge and looking over her new home.

As an older lioness she was the first to greet Auryx when she stepped into the territory. She learned that Auryx had lionesses like Kimber in her own ancestory, and convinced her to join the pride. The two soon became close friends despite their age difference, and could be frequently seen resting together by the river that ran along Kimber's cliffs.

One day Kimber witnessed an oryx fall from the cliff, a mixture of weakness, slippy rocks and poor judgement resulting in her untimely death. A calf, barely more than a few days old, looked out from some rocks and bleated for its mother. The aging lioness was reminded of her younger self, weak and timid, and a moment of pity caused her to take the oryx calf in. Unfortunately Kimber was getting stiff with age and unable to keep up with the energetic youngster, so she asked Auryx to look after it. A star hunter, Auryx didn't want to look after a creature she'd normally kill, but for whatever reason Kimber had saved it, so she did her friend a favour and raised the antelope.

Once a timid creature, Kimber by old age had become a mascot of the pride. She would greet newcomers and tell them tales of those living and deceased that had been part of the group. As King Nebulous grew closer to the Gods, they gifted his pride members more frequently. Kimber was gifted with immortality. She became frozen in time, a permanent resident of the cliffs above the pride, and mascot for them all. Rather than trapped between life and death, she could flit between the two at will, a simultaneous presence on Earth and in the Stars.
