Joined Nebulous at 5 months old

One day a vicious brute came and murdered a lot of cubs in The Culling. Kiongozi was part of the force with Nebulous, Muddle, Eskimin, Auryx and Zippora, to take him and some of his pride down. They won but Kiongozi was badly injured and unable to defend the pride anymore. The brute’s pride left behind a cub, Kolivan, and the pride decided after a few days to have Kiongozi train him to eventually fight against his own blood to protect Nebulous’ pride.

Muddle was against the pride taking in Kolivan. Eskimin saw only the potential strength in Kolivan and was fine with him joining the pride. Auryx didn't mind Kolivan joining the pride so long as he stayed away from her river. Zippora volunteered Kiongozi to look after Kolivan.

Although a large, strong lion ready to take on threats to the pride, Kolivan actually turned out as having a kinder and softer personality than the pride expected. Even Piper, once a prisoner and much smaller than Kolivan, had a stronger temper and attitude than Kolivan.

At two years old Kolivan was officially an adult and happily took up Kiongozi's place as the pride's main submale when his mentor stepped down. Over his time with Kiongozi, Kolivan had become accepted by the majority of the pride. He proved his worth many times, becoming the strongest protector they had ever has. He frequently visited Kiongozi to spend time with him, seeing him as a father more than anything.

At 4 years 10 months Kolivan mourned Kiongozi's death.
