"Anger, resentment and jealousy doesn't change the heart of others-- it only changes yours."
Born to a mother in a litter of 4, Kadani never had a chance to prove her worth. She grew in a world where, as the last born, and the smallest, she was thought of as lesser. She was weak and small most of her cubhood, which led her to train relentlessly in a fight to win her parents approval. This didn't work. Her father paid her no mind, kingly duties coming first. Eventually, a challenger faced her father, the king, and he lost. Killed by the challenger and thrown to waste. The new king made it his goal to eradicate all evidence of the previous kings rule, and targeted Kadani. Her mother, in one last act of love and kindness, set her as far from the pride as possible, in a hot desert ravine. She climbed her way out by her claws, and wandered endlessly, finally reaching exhaustion near an oasis of water, not even having the strength to make it to the waterhole itself. She barely registered a tall shadow and the cracking of sticks behind her, before a deep, worried voice spoke "hello, I am Aiken. Are you alright??" when he received no response, he did all he could to nurse her back to health, dragging the scrawny lioness by the scruff to the waterhole and helping her to drink.
slowly she regained her strength and followed Aiken to the pride, where she fell deeply in love with the king, the first lion to ever show her real kindness. She was only the first lioness though. Through his reign, Aiken welcomed more and more lionesses into the pride, and although he split his attention very well, she still grew jealous and resentful of the king, and all the other lionesses in the pride. Eventually she fell pregnant with Aiken's cubs. Her anger lessened for a while, as she was dotted on by a Aiken, but the moment the cub was born, his attention was split again. This time her resentment fell onto her son, Mirko. The Heir to the throne.
She spends her time now away from the pride, only returning when Aiken searches for her. Neglecting her son, and showing her anger towards all the other lionesses in the pride.
