Proxima is, perhaps, one of the most terrifying lionesses in the Pantheon. Standing a head and shoulders taller than her peers, she is easy to spot in a crowd and hard to lose focus of. She speaks in a deep, commanding voice, full of stoic confidence. When a lion hears her speak, they feel compelled to obey her. A little too compelled, in fact. As if their body is moving of its own accord.

Proxima did not necessarily come to the Acropolis by choice - though there's no doubt she could leave in a heartbeat if she wanted to. Rather, her name reached Banquo's ears through rumours from her subjects: visiting lions who trembled in fear, speaking of a young lioness who had the power to command anyone to do anything. They were terrified of her abilities.

Concerned about the risks Proxima might pose for her own kingdom, Lady Banquo set out with her Nereids to investigate the problem for herself. Eventually, they negotiated their peace.

While Banquo was queen, Proxima kept to herself more or less peacefully. The kingdom
However, when Haiku became queen, something changed. Haiku seemed strangely drawn to the outskirts of the territory, and occasionally, she and Proxima could be seen walking side by side, talking. Haiku was the first lioness who began referring to Proxima's rocky outcropping as the Pantheon. The more Haiku and Proxima spoke, the more life in the Acropolis seemed to revolve around the Pantheon. Lionesses were instructed to leave offerings for the lions within, and to bow when they padded through the territory.

Many lions are concerned about Haiku's deference to Proxima, and they wonder whether she is using her powers to control the young queen.

𝐿𝒾𝓉𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓈:
𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙮𝙧𝙖𝙚: Proxima stunned everyone by having a litter of cubs not long after her arrival at the Acropolis. She gave birth to three cubs and named them after the constellation Lyra. Or was it four? Another one seemed to appear after a few days.

Proxima glares at you as you approach, but she does not swat you as you groom her head. Instead, she perches elegantly, making it clear that you can only do this because she is allowing it.

You were going to ask Proxima to join you for a meal, but her icy stare stopped you in your tracks. How lovely.

Lying on the ground with a displeased grimace, Proxima notices you and turns her head, watching the horizon now.
